Street fighter EX thread(EX, EX+, Ex+@, EX2, EX2+, EX3)

no tourni’s for this game, so just get together with friends.

I just got back from Gamestop a few minutes ago. i got EX3. so im gonna play that for now, and let you guys know what i think

cool, keep in mind that you’re about 2 hours from me so if you ever wanted to throw it down against me, just lemme know.

i’ll definitely keep that in mind, Shinji. i appreciate the offer

now i only have 2 characters left to unlock. so far, i think this game is pretty good…its alot better than i thought it was going to be. right now im messing around with bison/ken. i was doing this one combo in practice mode…im not sure if it will work in regular mode, but here it is: it works anywhere on the screen, but its probably best to do it near the corner
jump in and immediately charge back, do a HK in the air, c.MK, c.MP, psycho crusher, c.WP, MP+MK, scissor kick, psycho crusher, c.WP, MP+MK, scissor kick, psycho crusher, repeat…you can keep doing it until their strength is gone…someone else could have already come up with this combo, but i thought it was pretty cool so i wanted to share it

c.mk shouldn’t link to c.mp with bison, and I’m not sure what c.WP is.

As for the offer, I’m in the suburbs of Chicago, so yea it should be about a 2-3 hour drive (I think). You in college in Joliet? Or HS or what?

I’m not calling you out or anything, but c.MK doesn’t link to c.MP with Bison, and once you do the Psycho Crusher and it’s blocked you are left open, and if it hits you can’t combo anything after it anyway. Also how did you put a Surprise Blow in there? (MP+MK) That won’t combo off a Psycho Crusher and again, if it’s blocked, you are left WIDE open.

EX series pwnz, long live the EX thread.

Are any of you the guy that was beasting ppls asses at midwest championships months ago.

I was therre, as well as Jeron and justin wong. I was the white dude.

ah yes, i remember you cleary, i was the extremely scrubby ken.

I was playing kof a bit more i think though. But that’s not the point, you were owning me with those tag combos.

Jester - my bad…after the c.Mk you go right into the psycho crusher(using MP). IF the crusher connects( if you land the c.MK then the crusher should land), you have to pause for a second( wait until the opponent just about hits the ground, then perform a c.WP, IMMEDIATELY do the strong attack(MP+MK), wait a second then perform a scissor kick

like i said, i was doing this training mode, so it might not work in tag battle. i dont know if that explains it better.

EDIT:i just tried it out again in BOTH training and tag modes. it ONLY works in training mode. cause i just noticed i had the juggling setting “ON”. i then tried it in tag battle, and it didnt work

was the juggling on? and I’m still not sure what c.WP is… oh WP is weak punch isn’t it? -slaps self in head-

Most likely.

Yea, keep in mind (for the matches at MWC) I haven’t had much match play experience, and had Jester, Gen, Sensei or Nekki been there they would have faired far better and had been owning the competition far more than I was.

Shinji, i did have juggling on. i should have known. cause that combo would be MEGA cheap in tag battle. you can keep doing it until their strength is gone.

what are some of your guys’s favorite combos?

Yea, well keep in mind if you’re timing is right and you’re spacing is right it is remotely possible to supercancel a psycho cannon upon landing (well at least for Bison 2, and perhaps regular bison).

Darun: j.hp, c.mp, c.mp, hp.lariat, super indra bridge, walk under, j.hp,s.hp, super indra bridge, j.hp,s.hp, super indra bridge, j.hp,s.hp, super indra bridge, Gangis DDT (air throw)

Well I tried to pick up the game a while ago, but then realized that there was no competition in the immediate area and gave up (I mean to only machine I’ve ever seen was an EX2 machine at Nickel City in Northbrook, and to my knowledge the right stick doesn’t even work on it anymore, or it was completly removed altogether).

So forgive me if i jizz myself when I see someone beat my ass with a nice combo. But hey, nice to see some ppl in IL actually take the game seriously.

Competition?, I don’t remember anybody faring to well against you there.

Jeron did well against me. As did justin wong.

and I forgive you lol

JWong didn’t just walk away during the fight did he?, I heard he did that a couple of times.:lame:

No what had happened was that I was in a middle of a set against Jeron when he had a match in one of the tournaments. So he temperarily walked away. Around that time Justin asked if he could play and I said yes. After about 3 matches Jeron came back and asked Justin if he could continue playing. With that justin got up and left.
