when tag was activated .
you still can combo the fella and still able to controll your new character which just stopped and ready to attack ??

ok, when you first press tag (assuming your considered grounded, your tag bar is full), you instantly recover from the attack frames of the previous move. During which the opponent is still in their stun animation, and your ready to continue with another attack. At this point, until the tag character reaches your position horizontally on the screen, you still have control of the first character. Which means that if you tag in your corner, the other person will get control eariler than they would if you tagged in the middle of the screen or the opposote corner (cause then the person has a longer distance to run to, to override your character). However, if the first person is doing a movie, they can not leave immediately (as they have to finish the move that they were doing). So what happens if the first character tags, and then does a special or super move just before the 2nd character takes control. Is that the 1st character will finish their special move, however all further character inputs goes to the 2nd character. So then you can continue to combo while the first chracter is still extending the combo on the opponent.

no, it might require momentary type timing to cancel it from a special move just right. But it is far from compilcated.

That’s a pretty good summary of the tagging. I suppose a slightly more rigid definition of what moves can be used is that it’s any move than can be super-cancelled, not just special-cancelled (eg for many characters, a standing roundhouse).

Well essentiall anytime you can surpriseblow you can tag :-\

Is there a way to consistently link Ken’s Hurricane Kick (while in excel) to another attack (non-super). I have a vid of Ken doing something like: activate, c.LK,c.MK,s.HK -> QCF+P (not sure which FB), QCB+LK, land into an attack (looks like c.LP).

YYYYYYAAAAYYYY!!! SFEX lol, SFEX was a great series. It had alot of great characters. Not alot of characters u would have trouble using like…Dhalsim, E.Honda, T.Hawk, Dee Jay, Oro, Balrog, u know Sf characters of that nature. SFEX 3 was reall amazing cause it had to sort of tag-team type specials and lets not for get the new Akuma…KAIRI! what’s Kairi’s deal anyway is he good or evil?, when his power guage is maxed out he reminds me of a akuma and he has similar moves.

^ Reminds me more of Dan, actually. Think about the hurricane and fireball! Oh, and Dhalsim was in the SFEX games…

Yeah, I guess so! I think one of the FAQs has a character-by-character list of what moves are special-cancellable and super-cancellable.

Anyone have a list of reliable match-worthy Excels?

I’m currently looking for Bison, V.Rosso, D.Dark, and Sharon. I have a couple that I’ve been working on but I’d like to see what other people use.

There was this really good Sharon excel combo I USE to do!
(Dammit I gotta get my game back!)
It was something like
qcb+kick…low foward, qcf+jab X2,qcf x2+kick, cancel, walk foward stadind jab standing jab, jump…Excel strong…short…strong…foward. (land juggle) short, jab, back fierce, walk foward, jab…jab, jump, Excel repeat…

It was something along those lines I havent done it in so long so I might be off a little but its a good link nonetheless since her over head kick move is pretty fast which gives off to some damaging combos.

Which EX game is the best? I would say EX2 alpha or EX3.

EX2 and EX2+ are seriously unfun pieces of shit.

I’m sure others would disagree with that point. For me, I’m indifferent on those two.

For my site minor update. uploaded a new sagat ending that I was apparently missing. and umm thats about it lol

let me elaborate the fun factor about sfex2 …

the game is equivelant to sf2 or kof …
no run , no dash …
why kof ?? because various character has sick special moves … !

jumping is a grave mistake .

but , this is game has a.groove , far more superb than cvs2’s a.groove .
because it does sick punishment with it .

to enjoy this game , you need patient …turtle like shit , do not jumpin blindly

well done, I got my copy off of ebay as well as I had a hell of a time trying to find a copy in stores a couple years ago.

well i just found a copy of ex+@ and i was wondering if anyone could give some good info about the game… .like tiers and shit like that

Why not just ex3, its the same thing except less crappy 3D graphics. Plus it has more fighters to select, a custom fighter, and BISON.
