Street fighter EX thread(EX, EX+, Ex+@, EX2, EX2+, EX3)

that regeneration will only take you so far, considering the time ittakes for thetag bar to fill up so you can tag out, as well as you will lose a bit of the regenerative bar everytime you tag and get hit as well.

i cant seem to get momentary combos down, can someone explain them to me? i’m trying to learn v rosso and skullo.

any strats or tactics i can read somewhere? ex3 version tho.

Resting regen doesn’t move THAT fast, no matter WHAT damage setting you use. You’d have to be playing that clock pretty heavily to get results, and I can’t really see any character(or team) that can keep anyone out long enough to fully regen their partner’s red area… That’s just me though, I’m just a mid-level player.
Blanka’s Mid, I’ll agree, Maybe Vega, he’s a bit different from his 2d version, but if you’re not up close with Scullo, there’s something wrong. He’s a fuckin’ beast up close. From far, all he has is s.HK, Skullo Crasher, Skullo Slide, and a very beatable dash mixup game.

Well EX3 is the only version that has momentaries, so thats self explainitory. lol

To get momentaries down, there isn’t much to really say that’ll help. Other than practice the distance that you’ll be doing it most often, if you believe that likely in a match that you’ll be a step back and two in one a crouching medium punch into it, then practice that. After you’ve done that, you should be able feel out when the hit of the special will hit and press p or k accordingly.

For Rosso strageties, look for Jesters Rosso faq on gamefaq. It’s pretty thorough.

For Skullo, try to get down his hard momentary trap sequence, cuz if they block, they’ll need to perform a perfect reversal to get out of it, which is hard enough as it is.

Also if the opponent is flying away off the screen execute your super ball AFAP (where he shoots a ball into the air), while Skullo runs look at what your opponent is going to do. If he goes for a reversal you can block or attempt an attack and he’ll get hit with the skullo ball, if he plays defensively go for the skullo face slam. There are little tricks to get out of it though, but its at least something.

BTW updated my site with a couple videos.

Lol, I used to play EX+@2 very hardcore with my friends in PR, I cant wait to go back home, anyways, I really LOVED that Vega throw, the one he throws the opponent against the screen, IMO that is the best throw in any fighting game ever, LOL!

(specialy if you do it to Blanka, hahaha, that is hillarious, just watch his face)

Actually, I’ve been looking into this, and it would seem you’re right… Although it regenerates fairly quickly, it’s the lost portion that does you in. I reckon it takes somewhere over 10 seconds for the blue tag bar to fill up, and in that time, the red area from, say, getting hit with a standard super, will be totally healed. But you would have permanently lost more than half of the 50 damage points from getting hit, so in all, the effect isn’t that great.

Anyway, is there any progress on getting the EX3 credits roll captured? Maybe you could show off a few infinites during the ending? If it’s too much hassle, then I guess static screens of the staff names would be fine.

I think I recorded it once, I think I just have yet to upload it to the streamload, so I’ll do that now.

^ Nice one for those credits, Shinj- I was just able to look a few more people up, and noticed that another member of EX3 staff (Kiyomi Kaneko) is somebody who worked on the Sega version of SF2:SCE (as well as BioHazard Zero).

Anyway, I don’t know if I’m just slow or what, but I learned something new last night: the Blue Screen of Death. Completely by accident, I finished off an opponent by kicking the unconscious body of my partner into them. You get a light blue flash…

you also get that finish if you win via a critical parade.

I’m kinda sad you would make a thread about Street Fighter EX.

You waste the boards space.

God forbid we have 1 freaking thread on this board, and how many threads do you have of MvC2? Hell you have your own damn forum for MvC2, so piss off.

Sorry, the ā€œI hate EX bandwagonā€ is long gone. Please hold still so I can shoot a giant load in your face.

Well, yeah, the background is the same, but you don’t get the sitting statue with this method.

my site is down for some reason, emailed the host and seeing whats up.

However in the mean time I’ve found for sure that you can combo after a surprise blow that hits a standing opponent thats perfectly timed aka a super meaty attack. People I’ve found that this works so far.

Ken, Doctrine Dark and Skullo. still testing out the others (as it might partially be character specific aka Skullo gets up a lot faster than Ryu so its harder to time on Skullo than Ryu and what have you).

short clip update for SFEX+

Dhalsims 30+ hit combo in expert mode

street fighter ex 2 and 3 sucked, I can’t believe i ever bought them. But ex 1 was a superb game. Excellent.

I hate the announcer in ex3 and i hate how every thing is black in ex2 plus crappy levels.

ex1 owns all(ex games)

how do you do the ace meteor combo?

I somewhat agree with EX2+, but not on the same degree.

And I liked EX3. My views of the first SFEX are covered on previous pages as well as pretty good reasons to support those views.

To the next question, you’ll have to tell me which meteor you can’t do before I can list the commands for it.

galaxy meteor combo with ace how do you do it?
