Street fighter EX thread(EX, EX+, Ex+@, EX2, EX2+, EX3)

I play ex2 on epsxe and ex3 on an actual ps2 if that helps any of the posters.

I prefer ex3, I’d love it on my pc. Tips?

Have you tried running it on the PS2 emu’s?
Also EX3 is damm hard to run on a patched ESR disc, damm. Had to always install it on my HDD until my Ps2 died.

PCSX2 runs EX3 ok if you have a very good intel based PC. AMD’d don’t run it very well in my experience.

Thanks guys. I didn’t realise I could even emulate a PS2.

Anyone have any tips with the Nanase loop? i seem to not get the second hit with the rekka or when i launch and throw the staff I dont get the 1 hit instead I get multiple hits.

I have an AMD machine, it runs perfect for me(okay it runs at like 55 FPS, but it’s stable). I had to screw around with the settings a little bit for it to work though.
Also it turns out I’m not the only person in Maryland that likes EX3, there’s a couple of guys there that love the game just as much as I do, and their copy still works. Gonna run some sets, oh yeah~

Also just posting here if anyone is near NY

You can control the pole for a little bit when Nanase is still in cool down activating, 3 punches to lock it in place. and dp seems to have more juggle but it launches higher.

Meanwhile intel based machines are running it at full speed at 1080p. Same with Tekken. For a basic experience with the game then I’m sure that 55fps isn’t too bad. But when you’re attempting to time links and momentaries that’ll mess up your timing and it’ll take a bit of an adjustment to go back and forth.

Also congrats on your new group of people to play.

Saw this pad which I presume will work in the PS2 for when we play Ex3 locally. Fucking classy. I’m sure Sagat won’t mind.

think that’s not listed right, those 15th anniversary pads are for PS2

I played with the settings some more…It totally runs at 1080 at 60 FPS… haven’t tried fullscreen yet though… Thanks Shinji!
also I’m going for your record in skullo momentaries. I’ve gotten 3 so far(even though it was by accident)
Also certain objects render weird…I don’t know how to fix it. Any kind of loose cloth(like Sharon’s jacket, Sakura’s skirt, Jack’s jacket, etc.) either freezes in place or glitches up in some way. 'sweird.

well done on optimizing it for 1080p. Though I don’t expect those glitches to be fixed, too much support for Final Fantasy X and not enough people caring about EX3. But I’ve been wrong quite a bit on emulators lately so who knows.

Updated the casuals SFEX2 playlist of my friends, the last 12 or so vids are newest ones

I know that, I mean I cant continue the loop cause I cant juggle the second hit when going for 236p >6p > 8P > Super. Or if I go 236p > 8P > super I try to get it as far as possible to lock the staff but I just get multiple hits.

I can only speak about EX3, but I could never get the multiple knockback like in the EX2 videos. Normally it was just 236236p, sc 214214p after launch, which would knock them back to me to get in 1 or 2 hits but I couldn’t get the same air super to hit twice. Maybe it was my timing or they changed the juggle potential in that from EX2+ to EX3.

I had a video of it on u2b but it had copyrighted music so I took it down.

After helping ztb yesterday decided to dig around some more.

Finally, found stages.

Sagat’s stage overwritten the old power plant stage from sfex2.

Found a pointer to table full of pointers for movement.

very cool, like the short hops from KOF.

It’s only an edit on the jump arcs.

I found the pointer to projectiles just haven’t figured it out yet. As it tells everything for the projectiles probably more data than the player memory.

Edit
Found one unused super was ryu with an air fireball super.
