Gonna try to get some of the people I play BB/GG/MB/3S with to try out EX2+ & EX3 when I get home from break. It’ll be tough going but fuck it I’ma try.

due to constant requests I double checked those codes like 100 pages ago for the character modifier codes in EX3. Apparently they’re actually for action replay 2 version 1/gameshark 2 version 1.
I probably either converted them and forgot about it for my codebreaker, or I used a different version of codebreaker that let it work. So I made the relevent changes in the video information.

What EX games do I need to get started?
? Depends on what you like, but if you learn EX1 you’ve already done most of the groundwork for 2 and 3 as its the base system. I know you like Alpha 2, so EX2/+ should be up your alley too (although excel isn’t quite as easy in making combos as it is in that game). The home ports are pretty faithful, so getting them on PSX or emu for the practice mode and missions is what I would do.

After some updating with the match-ups ( It’s not uploaded yet ) , it turns out Guile has 1+ win over Darun overall , which is odd cause Darun does so well on those A-Cho matches . It seems like Darun can be beast-like to certain characters because of his excel combos .
I kinda feel a little disagreement with Guile having disadvantage against Darun also . Yet it turns out Darun beats Guile in the A-Cho matches . I would think Darun will have such a hard time getting in , but with excel guess correctly on Guile’s Cr. Fierce anti-air , Guile will be in deep trouble .
Chanwa is a player from india who plays SFEX.
He got started on youtube posting videos of him using cheat codes like infinite super and infinte life against the computer. As a result of this he’s started to get some fans.
Recently he’s been playing online and wants us to play against him. TR and I refuse to because of the inescapable lag that online play would have. If SFEX2p was on GGPO or something I’d try it out and see how it goes.
So now he goes and plays ST on winkawaks (seems to avoid GGPO for some reason…) and uses Akuma. Or he plays online matches in EX with infinite super cheats.
As of late he’s been saying that he wants to make an SFEX3 video and show the world the “true” SFEX3. So I’ve been taunting him about releasing it since I know he doesn’t play the game, he doesn’t know the game like I do and it’ll be really unimpressive. TR and I guess that he just wants to use my codebreaker codes from 6 years ago or so to make a video with Shin Bison/Dictator and spam infinite supers or something like that.
For Akuma being the best in EX1, thats different from what we’ve found through play and reading this topic but I think Chanwa is going on his personal belief that Akuma should be the strongest by storyline and ignores h2h play against other people.
For Darun vs Guile. It depends on the players. What you and your friends do online isn’t the same as what acho players do in an arcade setting. What may work in an online enviroment may not work offline in an arcade against good players, just like what might work offline may not work online due to lag and desyncing issues.
It could also be that Guile player sucks in the acho videos and the Darun was a beastly player. Meanwhile it was the opposite with you and your friends playing online.
Who knows, there isn’t really a tier list for this game, much less a matchup chart.

I mainly followed the A-Cho tournament and follow that as a basis . Imo I think it should at most be a 5-5 .
I wish I did knew people who does play this out of the ordinary . For now I’m just looking at it on which tools one person has against another and see which one will have to work harder overall to get the win .
Probably one of the very few good things about the post-SF4 era, is that for the most part in the West, even scrubs are at least somewhat aware of what constitutes high-level play, so idiots like this aren’t nearly as prevalent.

Me and Shinji clown on that fool 24/7 on IM all the time. The only thing that gets me is how he has so many fans and subs with his lame CPU vs vids and shit, yet Shinji, Kyo and I with legitimate versus matches, barely get above a few hundred.
Shit is sad.

And EX isn’t really match up based to the extent that ST was, so stop worrying about that. Darun won those matches because he was the better player…that’s all there is to it.
