Street Fighter and Grabs

piece of trivia: spirals mash throw in mvc2 with max possible mashing and no counter mashing does 99% against cable.

In Xvs.SF, Bison, Cyclops, Ken, and Ryu has the most powerful supers in the game, IF you have a rapid-fire control pad. Bison’s Psycho Crusher gan get like 30+hits and Ken’s Shinryuken is 40+hits.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, and it may depend on what SF your playing, but if you’ve been grabbed and you mash, then you get out faster.

One would assume that if the CPU can mash during the grab as fast as it does, it can mash out equally as fast. Now if you’re trying this against a training mode dummy, then I can’t suggest any more than what was already said.

counter mashing has existed since hyper fighting (I’d say the first days of SF2, but I can only speak for HF and onwards).

I was playing SNES SF2:WW the other day on the hardest difficulty. It wasnt hard except if you got grabbed by Sim, Boxer, Blanka, or Honda because their multi-hit throws did 100% damage everytime. Sim’s noogie was esspecially funny because his hits were extremely fast and he ended up doing something like 20 hits once. Counter mashing didnt work either. So basically, the computer cheats.

I’ve seen the CPU get out of grabs without me being able to get one hit in, so you’re correct in your assumption.
