Manga has ALWAYS been terrible about releasing things, especialy major things like movies, they ALWAYS get pushed back.
Does anyone remember waiting on a little movie called “The End of Evangelion” from Manga? It took forever to come out, and got pushed back over a dozen times.
The release date for the Japanese ‘Street Fighter Zero 2’ Anime as it is called in Japan is slated for June. I suspect this Street Fighter Alpha Generations is the English version since they call the series Zero and not Alpha in Japan. Hmmm. That’s a pretty quick translation, if they could keep this October date it will be a good thing. Most of the time the English versions are released a year later.
And we still don’t know how many parts this new series will have. Chances are it will have two parts like the first Zero/Alpha Anime did. Manga video combined the two parts into a movie.
I just saw the Street Fighter Alpha movie. I rented it from Hollywood video. I used to own over 150 different anime titles in my day and of all of the movies i’ve seen, this is by far one of the most painful movies to watch. The story was horrible. Why did they need to make new bad guys when they had perfectly good ones ready to go? Then they just ended up slapping in a few Alpha face as background characters when they could have made the movie much better by giving them a story. Thank God i never need to watch that again. (and was Shun, ryu’s brother, supposed to be a joke on Sean from Third Strike? Shun kinda sounds like Sean and they both come from Brazil … )
It wasnt bad that they made all new bad guys, it was bad that they made such shitty new bad guys, ie they had the chance to make really cool characters that couldve ended up in actual Capcom fighters, but no they were shitty and generic.
He was a clone of Ryu with memory implants, this is why he was able to use the Dark Hadou but not actually “use” it, it was an unperfected version of it, and Sadler want to get the real/perfect version of it, since he could never perfecly create it.
Sean was only a joke in SF3 because Ryu and Ken were added to the game, ie they were never supposed to be there and Sean was supposed to be like a combination replacement for both of them. He was supposed to be calm and focused like Ryu, but with wild attacks like Ken.
Shun is more like Makoto then Sean. They both look alike, or both voiced by girls, Shun was supposed to be Ryu’s long lost brother, and original Makoto was intended to by Ryu’s long lost sister.
Plus Third Strike and the Alpha anime were made around the sametime, and youll see stuff in SF3 thats in the Alpha anime, like Shun is like Makoto, Akuma’s location has those same wooden dummies in both the game and anime, and in Alex’s VS portrait he’s wearing the same brown suit Ken wears in the anime.
