Street Fighter 4 PC cheats (No DLC Unlocks!)

Do you unlock achievements using the cheats?

The cheats work on Steam which makes it easier than using a trainer to unlock everything. You get some of the achievements from the cheats like unlock all characters, titles, icons, and taunts.

Thanks again, AceKombat!

Wow not even a window name check? Macroed FADC combos here we come… :xeye:

Any chance of finding a potential way of completing all the challenges automatically? I got a platinum in the PS3 version, and now playing the PC one and chugging through those challenges is just monotonous pain for achievements.

I’d be happy if I didn’t have to spend many hours again getting stupid 1-link frames in arbitrary combos in the hard character trials.

Not that I’ve seen;)

By the way, you can just use the serial provided by steam and install the retail version with it;) I don’t like having to run client apps to run my games, so this worked well for me;)

Leogansky, I fail to see the point of that though…

How do I run the trainer on Steam? (KennyKilla)
I’m having trouble finding the root folder.

hes talking about using a retail version thats installed on your pc. like if you take your friend’s copy and install it on your PC then use your steam serial with it.

I might do this aswell.

The question is, why buy the Steam version at all if you want to play the retail version?

If you’re trying to launch the game through the trainer, it’s not needed. Just run Street Fighter 4 through Steam, then run the trainer. After that, unlock what you want and it should work.

Hell no. You’ll definitely get banned for cheating in matches on GFWL, just like XBL. It’s just that there’s no way of detecting unlocks, since all you’re doing is editing the save file. Which isn’t akin to outright cheating in the least.

Because it was $4 off preorder and I don’t have to bother going out to the store to buy it. I prefer getting all my games on Steam now, if possible. No Securom DRM either. I have absolutely no idea why you would use the retail version with a Steam key. It’s exactly the same and I always have Steam up on my PC.

Thanks for the app and the codes, great work from both of you.

Sadly my savegame gets corrupted using them every time.

thanks to the op for the cheats

Every store around me from EBGames/Gamestop (several of them) to Walmart just shrug their shoulders when I ask about the PC version and say that “we may never have stock”, wtf.

I would certainly hope they don’t charge for the alternate costumes in the PC version.

PS3 games are $70 in Canada, I paid $70 for SF4 + $20 for the costumes + 13% tax = $101.70. If I buy the PC version (if they ever bring it in stock and assuming it’s only $40 like elsewhere) that would total $146.90 for one game. I’m not paying AGAIN for the costume packs especially considering it wasn’t even bonus content to begin with.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for posting those cheats.

Steam often have delays of up to a few weeks between detecting memory editing and banning accounts (and they do check all the time with many games, not just when you’re playing online), so just to be on the safe side I’ll regain all characters and titles the long way :xeye:, though nice work anyway guys.

While it would be quite a bit harder than what’s in this thread atm, any chance of someone here looking in to getting hit boxes drawn in the future (like in ssf2thdr training)? Now that would be a feature I’d risk getting banned for =).

They’ve never done that for any game that was not developed by Valve, nor do they do it unless you are playing online in a VAC secure server. Street Fighter IV being a game developed by CAPCOM has no Valve Anti-Cheat code inside of it. Aside from that, VAC doesn’t detect ‘memory-editing’, it detects code injections into game dlls, it would be impossible for them to tell if you had unlocked these characters manually or otherwise.

You will not face any repercussions from STEAM/Valve over using single-player cheats (such as this), or even multiplayer cheats in non-Valve games.

FYI.

Yes i was !!!

My guess? Either he has a friend who owns the retail version, and so to save the download, he borrows his disc and uses his own key. The other one would be that he downloaded SFIV off a torrent, and to save downloading again, he just enters the Steam key into the retail download.

Precisely;) That and, like I said, I don’t like the idea to have to run an app to manage and launch my games. It’s a waste of system resources and it shields the power user from controlling the game installation. I like to be in complete control of the install process. Windows Explorer is my game manager, period! So, retail versions are always my favorite.

I just used steam to get my hands on the serial number for online play faster than having to wait to go to the store. And it’s cheaper too;)

That also happened to me sometimes. I solved it by pressing each unlock button several times (using the trainer), or by verifying that every cheat value is actually 1, when using Cheat Engine (sometimes it remains 0, I think due to some type of conflict with normally unlocked data), then try to force the save more than one time (e.g., change the sound volume, back, save, then change the sound volume again, back, save, then exit to the grey entry screen and try to enter to the game lobby. If it succeeds, the save is no longer corrupted, and everything is unlocked;)

Hope this helps;)
