And i’m sure if they put Yun in SF5, which will happen eventually, his V-trigger will be Genei Jin.
I’m not a fan of how much resources it takes to fadc. If it is that taxing on meter why bother having it in the game?
If it took 1/16 of the ultra bar the game would be juicy. Taking regular focus out, making red focus ultra bar dependent and giving everyone…feints like viper.
And I am no way shape or form capable of THAT character. If ultra was anything like that I’d drool.

The only bootleg cancel I can say about a sf5 character would be ken, seems like once you activate, you can not move and hope the other guy doesn’t get at you before it ends.
I guess you can call kof bootleg too but When you activate, you get free movement after that slight pause.

Yes the worst part about sf4 is that you’re forced to watch, play it and complain in forums. We are finally free.

Just look at 3rd Strike.
Even if broken, ST and 3s were still good games mechanically which is why they live to this day. Sf4 will live but because it was the first fighter for so many players, it will hold nostalgia for then once they see change.
I sincerely enjoy more watching SF4 being played than playing it itself. I still cant get accustomed to 2.5D games that feels wobbly or “weird”.
Gameplaywise I liked it at first when ppl didnt knew the exploits of the engine (OS, Plinks, etc) nut always bothered me the braindead autocorrects and the easy executiuon barrier to do damage for some chars.
Also WTF Capcoms balance tweaks? “kets make these normals +15 on block and 2 startup, but lets nerf Ryu so Daigo cant win anymore”???
Either way, Im most gratefull to SF4 to reignite the FGC, even when the 09ers was a terrible time to be in the forums BUT again… The fire is ON.

While I DO have SODIUM HAHAHAHAHAHA half of ultra is nice.
I only played vanilla, some of ultra and never liked playing it. Characters were slow, neutral wasnt all that fun and playing it never felt natural so i just didnt care about it at all.
Some matches were fun to watch, i guess?

Buhbye SF4! Thanks for making me interested in SF again after I dropped the franchise back in the late 90s with Alpha 3 (my fav game). SF3 did nothing for me, and SF4 brought me back. It had its flaws, but it revived the entire franchise and the genre. It has earned its place in history.
Thank you SF4 for reviving the SF franchise, giving me Rose back and 1000 hours of playtime.

Feilong was nice back in the day too. Real nice. sf2 feilong was fucking nice. But I honestly think if they bring back a karate nigga it should be tony jaa now or a sleeping dogs homage.

This game isn’t going to die instantly, it’s not Call of Duty, where everyone just hops onto he latest one.
On one side, I can’t wait for this game to shift into the background.
On the other, it was my first real effort into taking a fighting game seriously and doing all I could to be a better player. It awakened the horrible inner-scrub within me through the years, inflated and hurt my ego countless times, endlessly frustrated me with trying to understand what is wrong with me and how I could fix it.
Couldn’t ask for a better preparation for SFV. Not to mention that game made SFV possible in the first place. I’m thankful for that. It was ugly as hell back in vanilla already, it wasn’t a game for me, I hated how most of its mechanics worked. But it was a great stepping stone. Exposed me fully to what makes a fighting game.
Think I still need to flatten my ego some more though. I wrote this crap here and am still enough of a hypocrite to post it anyway. The things you learn about yourself…
It always had to be in the spotlight reminding me of how shit I am at the only relevant game in the fighting game space. Why couldn’t the old outdated game that I was good at specifically be the one everyone actually cared about? SF4 requires no fundamentals. Can’t wait to shit on all these scrubs in SF5. Though I don’t know about that I’m starting to get SF4 vibes from SF5. NP I’ll just go back to my main game if I start losi-I mean it ends up being a shit game. SF4, you will not be missed except maybe by baka gaijins and 09ers.
