Hypothetically speaking, what if it’s rebalanced and Jap arcades start having the game at their arcades, alongside the Arcade version. I think more than a few arcades did this when SSF4 came out. If that would happen, what would that mean?
Well, that would be the indication of “developer intent” so I definitely think it would overshadow old Third Strike.
You’d still be annoying.
KNEEL BEFORE YOUR MASTER
random seraphic wing in your face
its not random if it works 80% of the time.
what difference does it make if i do travel and play 3s? chun is still cheap and you know i dont travel to play video games. :wonder:
you’re just a moron and scrub. I normally don’t even bother wasting my time with people like you, but so many others (decent, smart players) are giving your posts the time of day. seriously guys, you should just ignore Ryu24. You act like you’re too cool (can you honestly say money is the reason you don’t?) to travel for video games (don’t you travel to CF?), but you post more than almost anyone when it comes to 3s, on srk and on youtube. You’re also on GGPO as much as anyone. Under current equipment conditions, CF and GGPO are terrible for 3s - that’s all you play and all you know. Yet, you bitch constantly about certain characters as if you’re playing the same game as other people; you are not. Also, whenever someone makes a valid argument, you do one of two things: a)ignore said argument point and keep bitching (or change the topic to bitch about something else), or b) make a horrible troll post. You don’t have the ability to separate your normal posts from troll posts. Whether you like it or not, all of your posts are troll posts since you’re too stupid to play dumb. And while I’m spending time talking about you, you’re a terrible player, as well, equally fitting to your comments
^^ lolll why are you so butt hurt? isnt that the second time you said 'i dont normally waste my time with ppl like u" and yet you respond again??
i dont travel to play because its not worth it and i dont have time for it not because im too cool. traveling hours or days and paying a fee just to lose? nah. no thanks.
whats valid? work harder to beat chun? its funny because 95% of those who say work harder to beat her all main high-top tiers themselves. how about you use mid-lower tier char and try to see how its like to beat an average/good chun li regularly. i bet you cant. and constantly losing makes it pointless lol. yes you can beat her with lower tiers but thats if you spend 8 hrs a day with no job, no school, and no life besides 3s. its only reasonable to nerf her stamina down. this way people have a more competitve edge and better chances of winning. call it being lazy but its true.
and lastly, im not a terrible player. lol
^^ If Ryu24 is in fact Denjizz, I can vouch for him. He’s actually pretty good.
Also, your mother’s a whore.
My mother is in fact a whore.

^^ His weakness is revealed.
I main Remy. And I’m an adult with a 32+ hour a week job, am a working musician/songwriter, and have a girlfriend. And I don’t have much trouble beating Chun usually.
I’ve played a lot of fighting games over the years and I can say with a degree of certainty that 3rd Strike takes the most time to be good at because you have to get used to seeing situations, thinking ahead of your opponent, and just getting used to seeing certain moves start up and knowing what to do. You just haven’t played long enough. Eventually you’ll get to a point where you know the Chun match in your sleep and you’ll know your main like the back of your hand, and when you do, that’s when you really start to get good.
urien in a bathrobe, oro with a trucker cap, makoto in a business suit, alex with a t-shirt that says “nobody uses me”, twelve with a tattoo that says “i can do this crazy shit all day, and i’m still not winning sbo,” remy in uriens original costume… that’s all we need. 3s oe, let’s go!
3S was the first street fighter game I actually learned to play and spent time on. Back then I had no idea about anything. I spent a long time floundering around not spending enough time actually learning the game until college. Then I actually learned some stuff because I had people to play with. So I’ve maybe been playing with some level of understanding for 4-5 years and first time I touched it would be like 6-7 years ago. I don’t really know much. I’m just prefacing this so no one feels the need to jump on my shit and act like they’re calling me out.
I just want it released in a timely fashion, for a reasonable price (no more than $15). I think Balancing is a mess. I don’t think the game NEEDS to be rebalanced and I think doing so would make for some weird situations. I’ve never had the chance to play the game in an arcade because I don’t live near an arcade big enough to have bothered with it. I would love to and I would also love to have a perfect port if that means giving me a way to practice for whenever I’m able to play it on the real thing.
I’ll be ok with it either way. I’ve mostly played Alex for quite a few years now and sure I’d like to see him able to combo into a few more things but I’m already used to what he can do right now so why bother?
I don’t think there’s a really strong argument for rebalancing the game. Capcom is banking on the name Street Fighter and the fact that it’s ‘new’ selling to those that don’t know much about 3S. To those that do we already know what it is and if you like 3S you’re interested in a perfect port probably. It’d be cool to see more diversity, I think everyone wishes a greater variety of characters were seen more often but that really will never be the case. Even in a very balanced game you’re going to see certain characters float to the top and in doing so more people are going to play them, etc.
If you like a character you play them because you like how they play. If you like winning you might go for the character considered to be the strongest. There’s nothing wrong with this either way. Why do you care if you have to work harder to win because your character is considered weaker? Is that some injustice? If you like the character a loss is just a loss, you have no excuses as a player other than your own poor choices. So what if Alex’s stomp is ridiculously punishable and you can really only grab from a medium or strong flash? If you like how he plays these things are just part of the character.
Why would I want Alex to be flipping around comboing off of jab flashes and landing hyper bombs left and right? That wouldn’t really be 3S Alex. It’d be something else. What I’m interested in is a way to play 3S more easily and possibly better than ggpo. GGPO is a piece of shit. Let’s be honest. Shit flips out constantly. I’m so sick of seeing guru blah blah blah error whenever I think I’ll actually get to play.
I think what I and most other people who like 3S want is an arcade perfect port with excellent netcode and a great networking system for matching people up, creating lobbies, doing tournaments. Really Capcom should just be doing what they did in SSF4, clean it up, make it flow more easily (capcom sucks at menus, always has, i really shouldnt have to go through like 10 screens to get into a game of monster hunter). If they add that to a perfect port I will cry tears of joy.
What more could you want really?
Totally agree. Add in a great training mode and better CPU scripting, and it would be perfect.
And Q’s theme.
