You have no right to decide that I must like parries or else hate Third Strike.

You just happen to disagree with my proposal because you want Third Strike to retain the parry mechanic. It has nothing to do with the proposal in question being stupid.

Other games have parry for me to play (and I prefer those games for various reasons). It has nothing to do with wanting or not wanting parry. It’s ENTIRELY to do with the “proposal” being incredibly fucking stupid.

Sure, throw in a rebalanced mode along with classic mode. People played SF2:HDR version at tournaments because they liked that version over the original Super Turbo setup.

If the rebalanced mode is bad and Capcom creates more problems than it solves then I am fairly certain people will stick to the original arcade perfect setup.

3S is the only game to be at SBO every year. Why? Because people like the game as it is and they’ve created a strong and enduring scene around it. It does not need a rebalanced mode.

I absolutely love watching Kuroda’s Q over the years.

However, it must be said that Japanese tournaments are different from ours. You stand a better chance placing with lower tiers with their rules than american rules.

For that reason, I’m very interested in Evo Japan. I wonder how well Japanese players who play with lower tiers can do with our rules.

At least it will show EVO’s bias towards the game if it isn’t selected next year. After all, 3S got 2nd place in the “EVO Players Choice Poll” but MvC2 was selected in the end since it got a next gen release.

Since 3S will be getting a next gen release, it should be back at EVO. It’s only fair since MvC2 was selected under the same circumstances.
