Why a 360? I’m in the same boat. I’m leaning towards PS3 simply b/c online is free, but everyone in my area has a 360. Also, I’ve been using PS3’s HRAP 3 for a long time now.

3SO is getting a release in Japan, so yes. All XBLA/PSN games with multi-region releases have localizations for each region. Change your console language setting to Japanese and it should be there.

(feel free to try this out with your existing disc-based and downloadable games, too)

Really, what makes Third Strike special to me is how many characters I enjoy playing as in it. I feel like the entire cast has interesting aspects. For instance, I love Dudley, but also play Ryu (because he’s so fundamentals feeling). usually use SA1 with Dudley, though, because I <3 that damage. If I can do a swing blow and catch them into cancel, it’s good times and lemonade. Hate those dropped juggles with it, though…

I also play Yang (usually with SA3 for its amazing pressure and mix-ups) and even Chun. I recently starting messing around with Oro, too.

What I’m asking is: Does anyone else here just love playing with a massive amount of the cast? I just find every character so unique and amazing and fresh. It’s like a whole new game with each character, something that I don’t feel with SFIV.

Love 3S roster. Every character is fun and different.

SF4 is too much old cast and I still haven’t found another character I enjoy using as much as Dudley in it yet. I blame the people balancing SF4, it doesn’t seem to have lot of room for freedom or style, it’s like “play this character this way” and if you find a different way to apply their tools, Capcom just nerfs it so you have to keep playing in that predetermined mold. It’s why I like MvC3 more than SF4.

I can say for sure XBL is less laggy than PSN. I played SFIV online on XBL at home, and PSN at my halls, both using the same internet package. XBL is definatley worth the small cost.

Also I think Xbox is just a much better console overall software wise, menus and stuff, but I guess that’s just my opinion.

As to why I prefer Xbox live to PSN, Hate to sound like a broken record, but there is a reason it’s free.
Ive owned both consoles, actually traded my ps3 for a 360 (plus some free games, controllers). WAY prefer xbox in most every way.

Thats not to say PSN isnt really good for online. Just XBL is supreme.

Not to mention ps3’s the tournament standard, helps if you’ve only got 1 stick, if you want to help with a smaller tournament, etc. Also dualshock 3’s are actually usable for casual play.

Edit: Actually PC is supreme online, look at SF4 there compared to SF4 on both consoles

This. The only reason I can see PSN being laggier is because all PS3s have wireless and people not optimizing for online play by using wireless internet. Early 360s were priced lower and did not have wireless leading to everyone on it having to play on wired.

XBL is by default better than PSN as far as online goes for just about every game that’s on both 360 and PS3.
Although I’m a PS3 owner I ain’t getting a 360 any time soon ^_^;
