Grappler is a character theme. Hugo is the only true grappler, Alex is definitely part grappler. Other than that no one fits the theme.

From what I’ve gathered, your “usual style” in 3rd Strike could be VERY different than in other games. Definitely put some time into the challenges and such and get a feel for the characters. I’m really leaning toward Chun-Li, and I’ve played around with a bunch of characters, but I’m still not 100% certain she’ll be the one I go with.

You can never go wrong with Chun.

I don’t think there ever was a version of 3s with English voice work, so for a $15 downloadable title they won’t do new voice work. So should be Japanese only (as it should).

i agree completely everyone is acting like yun is like he is in AE in AE idk why they made him so easy to play but that shit doesnt work in 3S and chun is beatable stop whining about broken characters and just learn the matchup or pick that character

3rd Strike voices are mixed anyway. Necro, Urien, Dudley, Alex, Gill and some others I think speak English by default.

The only character I can’t stand using is, honestly Elena.

I like Elena, but a friend of mine put it really well: You play Elena, you get frustrated as shit, then you transfer literally every tiny iota of Elena knowledge to Chun-Li and start winning.

3SO is getting a release in Japan, so yes. All XBLA/PSN games with multi-region releases have localizations for each region. Change your console language setting to Japanese and it should be there.

(feel free to try this out with your existing disc-based and downloadable games, too)
