my personal rule is that the more superfluous options capcom has to put in to regulate these features, the more likely they are to make mistakes on the important parts. especially since the team is seeming to have trouble ironing out the kinks already.
besides, 3S has a much broader palette per sprite than cvs2. been a long time since i used palmod, but around triple the colours? imagine how badly people would botch the sprites. it takes more work to make good ones than the people asking for it realize.

3S has 64 colour palettes while CVS2 has only 16 ones, I think.
Though, most chars don’t use all these 64 colours, or sometimes use half of them just for extras, like yang slashes, necro’s electricity, etc…
Online, most colours you would see would be super crap, but there also would be very good stuff while it’s very easy to share colours online nowadays and just a few peeps could come up with something nice.
I still hope it has colour edit as DLC, but I’d want it only if you can force your colours (or original colours at least) on your screen whenever playing online, otherwise, yes, this would be a catastrophy.
I’ve played CVS2 only on the DC back then… how were these handled on PS2 online ? Could you see the other’s edits?
