Street Fighter 3rd strike: Online edition

Nah, they were right. I was being stupid and it doesn’t take that long in real time. Sorry for the confusion, everyone. D:

Well that explains how to do it. I was wondering more how the mechanics behind it work and why it works.

Huh. Interesting. I guess it feels like less time than it actually is.

Ha no sorry Im not talking about you. Im talking about other people in general. There are people out there who are that ridiculous that they wont buy a game because its got a slightly different colour on their favourite background than the version they played or something. Cant stand people being that pretentious over it because when the games come out they jump straight to slagging it off when its actually an amazing game in itself even if its not 100% the same as before.

Oh, my mistake then, point taken. Guess its back to waiting for more info. I hope that Capcom stands by their current policy of supporting their titles with updates once 3SO goes live. It would definitely be a boost for the scene if 3rd Strike gains some mainstream recognition and appeal.

When people count, they normally start at 1, not 0. Saying “1…2” is actually 1 second, ya dig?

This thread should really be closed…

well i just hope i enjoy the game  it looks so sick and i have been waiting for 3s online for some time now.

also capcom need to give us a release date and stop plating with me heart :frowning:

If you saw the interview on eventhubs, apparently they haven’t been given the approval that allows them to HAVE a release date. So they haven’t given it because they don’t know yet. Live and PSN seem to make companies jump through a lot of hoops for their online content, not to mention Live has a black-out period because of “Arcade Summer” or whatever, and 3S was not invited to be part of that.

Instead of tourney players or hardcore players why don’t we call them by their real name OR have everyone come up with their own Chinese/Japanese nickname. That way no one but Chinese/Japanese people would ever know what we’re talking about. Or stop worrying about hoe uncool it sounds or stop talking about it in public.

I just use people’s real names.

Hii Guys, My name is Lenin.

Is your middle name Stalin?

yeah, cause MSP and thrax mirrors totally arent superjump airdash hp whiffing to build meter or anything

That would get me into even more trouble.

They are, but they don’t last a week…

Your browser shouldve been closed before you could type nonsense. But that didnt happen either.

Lets just be happy we get to play games where whiffing builds meter again. In MVC3 that’s why the zoning characters are balls any way. No reward unless you chip people? Meh stick to people who run in and do shit. Pretty much all the characters that will be played regularly in tourneys are going to be run in and do shit characters the way things are going. You get a ton of meter for basic ass bnbs in that game any way. I generally pick more offensive gimmick/mix up type characters but it’s not as interesting when you’re only fighting against the same shit all the time.

im just messing with ya :stuck_out_tongue:

No it isn’t pretentious. The fact that the aegis color isn’t changed, ryu’s bag, poison, etc. leads people to think this is just a rehashed version of either the dc or ps2 port. Let’s assume ps2. That isn’t a good thing. It’s not crying that the color is different, it’s crying about what that potentially means as far as the code and how it runs. It isn’t a horrifically bad thing but if you say arcade perfect and then later on ‘most arcade perfect’ and then blatantly have things that are not arcade perfect it’s kind of a slap in the face.

Well that depends on what you take “arcade perfect” to mean. I take it as the game running as well as games in the arcade. Some people take it as it having to be the exact same game in every way to the old arcade version. So some people, though the gameplay and all the data behind the scenes is the same still complain because a leaf on a tree in the background isnt the right colour so suddenly its not arcade perfect to them. Of course if the coding is a pile of crap then the gameplay wont be arcade perfect. But this actual coding is from the arcade version of the game and even if its not 100% the same game overall graphically its still going to be awesome but some people dispute it before theyve even bothered playing the game and they stop themselves enjoying the game for what it is because theyre too busy telling themselves its not the same as it was. Really it doesnt matter if some things are slightly different because its still going to be an amazing game but these people will deny themselves of it out of stubborn stupidity.

Its seperate from your argument leading to clues it may potentially not be the arcade version. Its just some people dont know what theyre saying really and just rave on about one tiny thing that doesnt even effect the gameplay and so dispute the quality of the game before they even try it. These picky people jumping the gun annoy me.
