They could program it so depending on character selection, life of both characters, and certain moves landing produce the different quotes.
Ray Ramos’ “Sock that bitch!” would have to be in for Alex vs Makoto.

EAT DIRT
From what I heard both the arcade and remixed Dreamcast music should be intact. In videos though I’ve only heard the remixed DC music. Which is fine because I prefer the remixed music but I’m sure the arcade music is there. They said they also have OE specific remixed music but it seems like for right now that’s only for the intro and character select music. Haven’t heard any OE specific music for the stages.
I’m looking forward to the new remixed music, personally. I love the arcade and arranged tracks, but curiosity’s getting to me. I’m sure they won’t sound as bad as the HDR tracks, at least. One thing I loved about the 3S songs is that they didn’t sound very typical to a game soundtrack for its time. Compare the 3S soundtrack to 2I’s and I think you might catch my drift. Better reference to work with, I guess. I dunno~
You know what I noticed guys? We don’t have enough things to rage about in this game. It bothers me. It’s too damn perfect.
Capcom needs to do something like…idk, put in Indestructible or something…I need more rage.
why dont we rage over how long this shit has taken to come out? they announced it at comic con last year. its almost comic con 2011 and were supposed to expect more announcements? pretty lame.
i’ve seen most of the videos and i don’t remember anyone addressing video settings for 4:3 displays. seth doesn’t talk about it in his video. you can’t really show this in an E3 demo, since games automatically scale according to your console settings outside of the game.
The way the game’s going, it wouldn’t surprise me if they announced a free food generator if you buy the game.
I remember seeing a 4:3 setting for a crt. You should be fine, no worries.
I’m sure someone will find something to rage about.
Hey the HDR tracks werent bad
But yeah I feel you on the 2I/3S tracks, I want the 2I tracks in but the 3S tracks not being usually video game fare really helped with the games identity.
Thats coming on the next gen of consoles. Current consoles cant handle the hyper molecular construction drive processors. They overload and just turn into food themselves. With all the excitement about Wii U I can understand why people looked past this at E3.
Ah, I see, I was such a fool. I guess we’ll have to settle for the mini-fridge.
They could replace the opening with the one used in the trailer and prevent you from changing it back.
Enough people complained about the filters, and I expect it to continue.
Plus people bitch about the music enough so I’m sure it’s coming.
They could charge you for it but at the same time release a “compatability pack” which apparently just lets people play with it for free after youve already paid…cough coughMKcoughSkarlet
There’s nothing to complain about there though. The original music is in and the filters can be turned off.
It is sort of lame that the sidebar challenges can’t be turned off in 4:3 mode, but maybe they can update that via a small patch.
Even though I don’t like Artgerm’s stuff it is cool that the characters you pick the most will show up on the main menu.
I’m happy this this title is being ported to the XBL come this summer, but i’m not impressed that they havent ‘offered’ any means of rebalancing the game, even to be as an optional fix.
what I’m hoping they’d do with the trial mode is teach how to buffer specials, and extend target combos in juggle state when the oppurtunity arises.More stuff as well
Any rebalancing would cause a split in the community. Just fixing unblockables in the console ports caused extreme backlash (especially if you mained Urien, oh the rage if you mained Urien).
The people who would buy it only if they rebalanced it would play it a grand total of two weeks, then drop it for other games, and the 3S purists wouldn’t buy it at all. It’s not a good trade off at all ESPECIALLY since they’re tying DLC to this project. They need people who will continue to play the game long after release, those would be the purists and true fans of the game, and the best way to appeal to them is to release an Arcade Perfect port.
I don’t get whats so hard for people to understand about this, but then they’ll always argue “screw the hardcore community” which is pretty redundant, since they’re saying “I won’t play this long but when I do play it I want it MY way.”
It’s like the MvC2 argument before MvC3’s release: Balance balance infinites balance balance when 99% of the people calling for the stuff never had to, nor will they ever, experience any situation where the game’s balance is affecting their experience because they don’t even know where to start in finding who can do the stuff, especially if none of their group of friends could utilize any of it. But SF4 automatically turned everyone into a professional fighting game player so everyone thinks their opinion counts in everything involving fighters ever now.
