Street Fighter 3

It’s really hard since the company that put them out has gone under. But Shuensha, the company that’s behind Shonen Jump re-released the Sakura Ganbaru! Manga last year, so it may just be a case of waiting for them to re-release Ryu Final. Anyways if you can’t wait, you’re best bet to tracking down these Mangas is Ebay.

MK’s SF Works were -

Cammy Manga (Available in the US)
Street Fighter Zero Manga
Sakura Ganbaru! Manga
Ryu Final
Sakura vs. Kyo - A short CVS Story he did for Ultra Jump Megamix Vol. 1.

Sano, you misinterpreted what I said. Upaul is not a part of Capcom nor a producer. (I’m very aware that Okamoto is the head honcho) He’s just you’re typical person that was just plain lucky enough to have his name mentioned in the game. That’s what I meant. He had the chance to meet with one of the producers( I forgot his name since that was a long time ago)

But anyways, when did Sagat beat Hugo?

In 1999 when ‘Ryu Final’ was released.

Hey, sorry about that. Thanks for the info. More SF knowledge is good!

I have to look for them, but their are Links that describe Ryu Final more in depth than I did. I’ll Post them here sometime during this week. It sure isn’t easy finding old Posts at SRK nowadays with the server being down every five seconds, so give me a bit of time.

Personally, I think a nine foot tall flying man dressed like a stereotypical American Indain from 150 years ago is pretty over the top, unbelievable, AND stupid.

Same as E-Honda.

So yeah, in my opinion, the SF3 characters are on the whole, less unbelievable than the SF2 characters. Just imagine them all in cosplay, acting out their moves in live action. Which cast would seem more ridiculious?

To me, it’s clear that SF2, with it’s nationality stereotypes, flying fat people, arm stretching flaming breath men, and inexplicably green furred Brazilians tops out SF3, who has weird characters, but nothing beyond the average episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer or average Sci-Fi movie.

And, furthermore, SF3 has many more “normal” characters than SF2. Makoto, Yun and Yang, Dudley, Elena, Remy, Ibuki, Alex, Urien, and Sean are all relatively normal. Even Oro and Q are just boarderline weird, IMHO.

SF2 has Fei Long, Cammy, M. Bison, Dee Jay (sort of), Vega (sort of), and Guile (sort of), and that’s about it.

Thing is, it may be that you just don’t like the SF3 characters, regardless if they are more or less unbelievable than the SF2 characters.

OK, found the Online Ryu Final stuff. This Link has a short review at the bottom.

And this one has a lengthy plot description.

I have an issue of Ryu Final, out of a Japanese issue of Gamest.

It’s pretty neat.

:open_mouth:
where’s “DA MAN” Ken eh?
you obviously put Alex at number 1 spot by mistake. a typo perhaps. its ok dude. happens to the best of us. you just correct that lil mistake and ill call off the bomb squad.

btw a fighting horse would be an interesting idea for a character.

I guess Im entering kinda lite in this conversation, but SF Third Strike RULES!!!

Seriously man, play the game. Its awesome. If you’re favorite character isnt in it, who cares. Use another one. They have characters similar to all the old ones.

The fighting sytem is the best I have ever seen. 3rd Strike is the BEST FIGHTING GAME IN THE WorLD!!!

Its the coolest part of the Anniversry Edition. The movie is all cencored and shit, so i didnt enjoy it as much as I would have (but hey, its video game, so i understand why it cant show Chun-Lis A and T combo, but why cant it show Akuma??) anyways. SF3S RULES!!!

He’s talking about characters specific to the SF3 Series. That’s why Ken’s not on the list.
