Street Fighter 3 NG & 2I Thread

No, but one thing I can tell you for sure is that a ton of supers were slowed down for Third Strike. By this I mean a lot of supers in Second Impact and NG can’t be blocked on reaction. In Third Strike only one non-throw super is available to players with that property.

Really? I have been dabbling in this game for awhile and I am pretty sure you can block any super from point blank. I could be wrong, but I’d love to see some more sources state that claim.

EDIT: I may have misunderstood your claim. Do you mean that they come out so fast they are hard to react to or it simply isn’t possible? If the former, wouldn’t the super-freeze give you plenty of time to block?

So umm yeah I’m attempting to get 2I and NG released with 3S-

It’s a very tiny/minisucal chance but…

ng necro would own! I wish they made a sf3 collection. I want to use ng oro or necro versus 3s chun li or 3s ken.

I would play the crap out of this 2i’s ryu/ken/sean and yang.
Denjin loops.
Get a meter and a half
Do combo to shoryu> denjin
Hit them with DEN DEN DEN!
Have a meter and some change when done, denjin.

Haha this thread still here I see.
So what online program/software is popular now for playing fighting games? Supercade?

I hear ya. I would like to try NG Ryu, 2 Ken and 2 Hugo against the 3 cast.

Iapetus: I know your post is years old, but let me explain anyway for other people. The game does not accept inputs during the super freeze. I think this is true for all SF3 games. For many supers in NG and 2, if you are within range of at least the first hit frame of the super, and you aren’t already holding back on the stick by the time the super freeze arrives, you will not be able to block.

Here is a youtube video featuring all super arts that have this property.

BUMP. @Tizoc‌ Well GGPO is dead, but Fightcade is fresh and works and has an immense library of available games. I just got 2I on it to see what all’s different comparing it to 3S.

I’m so sad that 2I is so good and Capcom didn’t keep the formula right when they made 3S; as much as I like 3S also.

Can you red parry? I notice pretty much all hit supers put you in block stun that you can go into neutral and not get hit for it. But that must mean that you can’t parry out of it? It’s not a huge deal since supers don’t do a lot of chip and are usually unsafe on block.

ANyway, if this post gets anybody’s attention, check out www.fightcade.com if you’re looking for a retro fighting game experience online.

Red parry is only in 3S.

I remember stun being pretty wonky in NG & 2I…2I still looks the coolest to me.
