Hello all, this is my first post, I hope this board can help me with some of my SF 2 questions. Basically, I wanted to know what next gen system has the best SF2 compilation games. I was hoping to find some discs that would have all the old street fighter games. On any system, PS PS 2 X box dreamcast, anything! I was hoping to find a collection that would have Steet Fighter 2, Turbo and Super Turbo. Are there any out there? Also, a set that would have all the alpha games, please let me know if they are out there, thanks!
It really depends on how serious you are about competitive play, but Capcom Classics Collection has WW, Champion, and Turbo(along with some annoying load times). Capcom Classics Collection 2 has Super Turbo and teh input lag. It also comes with a nice tutorial. They aren’t arcade perfect but a casual player won’t notice/care.
They’re availible for the PS2 and Xbox, pretty cheap too I would suspect.
Get SFAC for PS2.
The CCC1 collection of the first three SF2 games is the same as the PS1 Street Fighter Collection volume 2, if I recall. Which was pretty good.
Except ST, which sucked on CCC2. The Dreamcast version was arcade perfect, so I would recommend seeking out the TDC final disc online. It has a translated version on there+the data that has it set to arcade settings.
As for Alpha, there’s an Alpha Anthology on PS2 that has A1, A2, A2 gold, A3, A3 upper, and Pocket Fighter. Also an unlockable Hyper Alpha mode that throws all the alpha games together.
ST on DC is NOT Arcade Perfect. It has random one frame lag and stuff, there’s a thread covering it NKI made.
