The first qualifying tournament for the Street Fighter 4 National 3 on 3 tournament will be tomorrow at Takadanobaba’s Taito Station Big Box, and it looks like it’s going to be a really interesting tournament! Not only are there are some big names missing, but some of the teams that have assembled are looking very good! Thanks to .cab for organizing the tournament! He has updated his page with the full list of participants for the tournament tomorrow. I have taken the time to translate the names and some of the team names if they seemed unclear, so check them out after the cut.
Most notably missing are Daigo (he’s already in due to voting), Mago, Iyo, Tokido, Yoshiwo, Nuki, Krisuto and Akimo. I reported earlier that Mago, Tokido and Akimo were going to team up for nationals, but it’s surprising that they haven’t entered this tournament. Either they’re gearing up for the second Tokyo qualifer, or they may be planning for an invasion of another area’s qualifer. It’ll be interesting to see how that develops!
