Not personally had this happen to me but i very much doubt your opponent could have caused it. The PSN has been very glitchy since release people get disconnected for a huge number of reasons namely the psn is just crap and was rush released to compete with xbox live and they still havnt sorted out all the bugs. As for your opponents skill bare in mind they might not have been using their main or a frend could have been on their ps3.
