Strange issue with stick + PS controller assignment

I’ve ran into a strange issue I haven’t seen any posts about with my sticks.
I have 2 Venom fightsticks (Here)
No intense mods just button & joystick swaps.

If both sticks are plugged in no matter who the PS is signed into with the other stick the second automatically signs into the main profile when the PS button is pressed.
It can be quite annoying since the second player has to hold the button switch user to another, then I have to press mine and sign back into the original P1 profile to be able have both working thereafter. Any idea on what could cause this?

Everyone been having issues since a recent PS4 firmware update, you need to load up both user accounts and then assign controllers to them
