Ok, i never really cared about the story line before.
But now recently getting into Street Fighter since being little, where did all the characters go in 3s? And where the hell did aliens come from. And why do some of the characters remind me of old characters.
Is there a website that explains it all? or are things the way they are jus tbecause capcom said so.
I looked on gamefaqs, googled it (only reviews for the game came up), and wikipedia it.
It has less to do with the story and more to do with the fact that capcom didn’t want old characters in sf3. The only reason the shotos are in it because people complained so much to capcom they decided to include them. Once 3s came along they decided to add Chun for whatever reason. The characters they include has little to do with the story.
3S really has little to no story. Only 2I and NG have actual storylines for the characters n such.
Here’s what happens/happened in 3s stoyline-wise
-Ryu continues training or is being trained by Oro
-Ken is still being Ken
-Akuma is strong
-Chun is teaching kids
-Necro is still on the run with Effie
-Alex is a wandering warrior a la Ryu
-Makoto wanted to fight strong people to prmote her style of Karate
-LAWL I’m Q WUTS MEH PURPOSE!?
-Twelve is sent to find and kill Necro. He’s being mass produced to serve the Illuminati(Urien)
-Urien kidnapped one of Chun’s kids and killed Gill maybe(Assuming his ending is cannonical)
-Dudley is rich
-Elena is ummm…
-Ibuki can’ get a break from being a ninja
-Remy is emo
-Hugo is HUEG
dudley is indian like dhalsim. its kinda like a role reversal based on his character design. india was a british colony late till the end of the last century so him being indian and a rich man in england kinda shows the back story struggle of his family and the importance of his wealth (represented by him fighting for his car in the first sf3).
he still borrows the character design of the oldschool boxer and the dress style of jack johnson but his ethnicity is clearly enfluenced on the political history of british colonization of india and its lasting effect on it.
