I was there during the free game time, like 6-7 years ago, freshman year. That shit was awesome. I think I remember messing with the machine settings (dipswitch?) on the MVC2 or CVS machine for the freeplay because the top panel wasn’t bolted down. Wasn’t there when they wanted to arrest people though. Too bad they had 0 business sense to just keep the games cheap.
Damn I feel old.
I’m in the MBA program. Unless I go with all online classes, I should be around Saturday afternoons, starting September. I’ll check back here and the Facebook group to set up some SF4 sessions.
The top panel got unbolted b/c they never fixed the sticks, so the regulars had to take matters into their own hands… and plus the fact that the token machine rarely gets refilled. Everything was cool up until when other ppl noticed the unbolted panel and decided to take advantage of it… in the OPEN! That’s when word spread and the union arcade management found out. If they just simply maintained the machines from the get-g0 then the crackheads wouldn’t have to resorted to such measures.
Oh man, we seriously need a Union Arcade reunion lol.

EDIT: It says that freshman/sophmores can’t park on campus. If I do get a car, is there some secret/available off campus yet close and safe location where I can park a car?

Oh those were the days. Best was when the token machine was empty, and a pal realized the Chuck E Cheese tokens were the same size and he could get them for cheaper too lol!

SO is it random spots you guys play? when I use to play tekken there they had meet up at the student activity center basement.
I don’t know about other times. Yesterday, I picked up Doug from campus and we played Marvel at my house which is about 15 minutes away.
Trouble my ass, you were wiping the floor with me. In my defense though, I was really tired that night, but no excuse.
They still meet up there, but nobody plays Tekken, which is a shame because that’s my best game. Before they also used to have machines, but they took em out a while ago. Good machines too, CVS2 and such.
I remember that day, think it was me and chi on the marvel machine, and you and fa on cvs2.
dude was threatening to arrest us and saying there’s a camera in the room, but in fact there wasn’t.
Im still wondering who it was that set the machine to free play the night before… :annoy:
