About time there is a tourny here. I vote for console as well since i can play better on a pad than sticks. Just tell me where the tourny is gonna be at.

I have played you in Marvel a couple of times your an ok player compared to some of the other people i have seen around stockton =X
Ok im willing to host it at my house, I have a big screen TV.
But someone will have to bring console and sticks, because I dont own shit.
I’ll bring the console(DC), the games(3S,CvS2,MvC2), one MAS stick and two fighter pads. I suggest people bring their own controller cause I don’t want anyone complaining they lost a match because of my stick or pads.
Now I just have to test my DC to make sure it works cause I haven’t played it in a while

:party: I’ll be there, but alot of shit seems to be undicided. Like the exact time, The place and the format. If it’s gonna be home version then could somebody please bring a high quality joy stick for me to use or at least a converter so I can bring a PS2 controller.
Thanks!!! I’ve tried using Cable in team instead of Storm and I seem to do alot better against Blackheart now. I beat quite a bit of decent players at MvC2, but then when somebbody really good like Phong or Blackheart comes around I’m luvky to kill a character. I dont know why my fights with them are as one sided as they are. :sad:

me and a friend went up and visited SGL this afternoon/evening, was there from about 2:30-7:30pm, played MvC2, CvS2, only a handful of people there. Played a worker, didn’t get his name, and played some other guys, got asked if we were “out of towners, and were we play” by some tall black guy…that was about it, what days are there more people playing there?
I might be able to drive up there on today (Tuesday) in the afternoon. Is there gonna be anyone there around 3 or 4? I don’t know how to get there, but I want to check it out.
Yeah, I’m gonna go to Stockton Golfland today. Probably around 3ish. I hope people are there…if not, at least I’ll get to check it out.
So yeah…I suppose driving 95 miles to find that there are only two other people in the arcade wasn’t worth it. MVC2 is decent, the only really playable machine there. CVS2 is decent…except for the 1p roundhouse not working at all. Third Strike is horrid…apparently they use 5 point joysticks. 1p side has jump, crouch, back, forward, and down forward. You can’t jump forward or back, or hit down back. 2p side has the same problem. The buttons work, though. The competition was mmm…less than fierce. I worked up a streak of 6 or 7 in MVC2 and lost to Cable, Sentinel, Capcom. For those of you who have seen me play Marvel…you can imagine how “good” these guys were. CVS2 was a different story. Apparently, they think it’s warranted to shit talk when they barely beat my C-Akuma, Joe, Kyo-2. They didn’t say much when they got ocv-ed by N-Ryu and every round was won with a ShinShoryuken…Beats. On a brighter note, traffic wasn’t bad at all on the way home.
Point of this post: DON’T GO TO STOCKTON GOLFLAND. Unless they’re willing to get working parts for their games…and competition…stools would be kinda nice too.

I wish I could have been there to play you, but I was busy. Stockton does suck ALOT!!! Theres no competition. :sad: I hope you can be there for the tourny… Whenever that is.
only bad thing about MvC2 there, was the angled sticks and buttons, ( too used to Fresno )it threw me off everytime, I couldn’t get used to the sticks. I would catch some one with Sent with HSF, try to get over there and hit’em up for some fast fly/unly stuff, couldn’t dash, damn sticks!! bleh!!
well, that explains why SF3:3rd strike, I couldn’t jump forward.but, 130+ miles to SGL, it was worth it I guess, never been to that golf land before. It was fun, but sucked, had to leave early, my friend had to work.
might visit Stockton again sometime, just wondering if there are any other places to play up there, and competition, and conditions of games prior to going.
Well acually there’s plenty of arcades in Stockon, but they all suck. Honestly, in terms of games I would have to say Naughty Nick’s is the best now. Perfect 3s and CvS2. Only problem is they dont have MvC2 and even though the games work perfectly no one goes there. :sad: Whimsy’s has a decent CvS2, but the sticks are a little loose. But, you’ll get used to it after a few games and the MvC2 there is fucked up beyond belief. The Jab dont work on the right and on the left, l.k and the top assist BARELY work. The competition is decent on SOME days, though. If you’re ever coming to Stockton hit me up on my AIM SN or PM me if you wanna get some matches going.
And does anyone wanna meet me at NN’s, Whimsy’s or SGL any time soon? I just want some competition. :sad: I dont care what arcade, I just wanna play someone with some skill. :sad:
Where’s Naughty Nicks? and how do you get there? I might try Stockton one more time…if you say the CVS2 is in good condition. Today possibly, but I need an address.
naughty nicks is on Ben Holt and Pacific I Believe. On the I5, exit on Ben Holt and you will hit Pacific and Naughty Nicks is right there.
