Hey I kno’ u guyz!!!

Damn!!! I had no idea there were all these Stockton players on SRK. Who exactly are you guyz? I bet I’ve seen you. :confused: Stockton IS pretty gay when it comes to MvC2.

CvS2.I aint no fuckin’ pro, but I aint no fucking scrub. I usually play A-groove now, I dont’ play it as much at Wimzy since the shit there is so fucked up! I hear alot about how Robert aint that good…pffft, yeah right his A-groove is the shit and his C-grooves pretty cool too.

As for Soul Calibur I’d say thats the game where I might be the best at. I havent’ played it in a while (too much CvS2) I would have to consider my best characters to be Ivy, Taki and Voldo, but I use just about everyone. Damn it…I should’ve won that Gamecrazy tourny I’m so much better than whoever won that tourny now. I dont remember who that was. I’m not sure if it was Phong or that one black guy. I just wish I didnt’ accidently jump out of the ring with Taki. Yeah now I may be starting to sound familier.

I use to play 3s… like 5 years ago. Well maybe not that long ago, but it was a pretty long time ago. It used to be my favorite game. It would be nice if any one there could fix that shit.:bluu: That game was the shit. Cant’ go wrong with Yun and Alex. I think that the 3s that Naughty Nick’s has is the one the Bowling alley used to have before they traded it for SvC chaos. I still play 3s everytime I can find one that works.

As of now whenever I’m at Golfland there aint much to do, but play InitialD and practice my A-groove. I play MvC2 sometimes, but there aint nobody new to battle. BTW isnt’ golfland getting rid of double tokens again. Oh well, I’ll still probably end up going there anyways cuz Wimzy sux.

DAMN somebody needs to get a tourny started for something, any game I dont care, it can even be a random character MvC2 competition as long as it gives me something to do, and I mean that shit! Peace out!:cool:

hmm… i dont play enough at whimsy to know any1 there… not to be a jerk or nething but every1 there sux… people beat and think there good not knowing only 4 our of ur 6 buttons work… but yea school has started once again and ill be out of there scene for awhile… but anyways if u ever wanna get a match goin im down… i always try to help the new players… its just hard to teach people that think there better than u or dont accept help late.

Snake, if you want to get frustrated at 3S, we oughta get some matches going. But yeah, g-land 3S isn’t worth shit. I haven’t gone to naughty nicks. But if a group of folks are down for some 3S play, lets just set a time to meet at Nicks.

The frustrating thing about g-land is that I keep telling them 3S is broken and they keep telling me its not. Lazy idiots.

I’m sorry man, but 3S doesn’t work. I went there Tuesday afternoon (maybe it got fixed afterwards). But on the 1P side you can’t jump backwards or forwards, just up. And on the 2P the joystick is just not as responsive as its supposed to be. I can’t pull off simple combos like LK, LK, Flashkick on that side.

I think you guys are getting fooled by test settings (where you test if the directions on the joystick are working). THe sticks are just plain not as responsive as they need to be. The SVC and CVS2 sticks were fine/great. I bet if you switch the 3S sticks with the CVS2 sticks, you will get a lot of angry CvS2 players.

Get any serious 3S player to play on that cabinet and they will tell you the same thing. Heck, some novice 3S players will tell you the same thing. You guys, plain and simply, the 3S sticks need to be replaced.

You’re 95% right. Everybody does suck at Wimzy. I know that post is hella old, but I just noticed it. I’m the only one that takes games seriosly at Whimsy so it’s not like I’m the best of the scrubs or something. Me and my friend are (not to sound cocky)some of the best Soul Calibur players in town. I play CvS alot and I’m hoping to get better for next year’s EVO. My friend is decent at it. I dont want anybody to think that just because I’m the only serious player at Whimsy that I suck. Besides I go to G-land more now anyways. Well iono kno about since they got rid of double tokens, but I do play games more there. Better too, because the pads are perfection to me, but CvS is starting to breakdown. Someone should consider fixing it. And 3s is still busted. :frowning:

Blanka is the most dominant character in the game.
On every final team except Buktooth’s.
But he played N-groove morrigan/hibiki/iori.

I played lots of Japanese players, who RC all day and I hate them.
RC electricity is the gayest shit ever.

High level cvs2 is all turtle, its kinda lame to see.

Yeah I know what you mean. :frowning: RC is extreamly good, but if they use it with a character like Blanka it becomes so fuckin’ gay!!! Right now Im in this debate with all these people who think that RC is some useless BS.

You should check it out and throw in your 2 cents about how good RC really is. Everybody seems to be dissin’ me, because I seem “technical”. They say all kinds of scrubby shit like “The less you know the better” or “all you people may know some shit, but you dont really know how to play the game” They call me a scrub, because I post some advice that they dont understand. It would be nice if someone who really knows the real world of CvS2 can show these scrubs how CvS is REALLY played.

BTW, howd’ you do at EVO. And what kind if Combos did u see there?

roll canceling is so stinking cheap. just another broken abusive cheap technique that makes a cvs2 less fun. Id rather play against a cheap 2 move k groove bison/blanka/sagat player than a roll cancel scrub.

Nobody ever complains about RC being cheap.If RC was easier it would be cheap. It just seems cheap, because hardly anybody in Stockton uses it. And the ones that do dont use it to the extent that it can be used. Blanka is cheap no matter what, but I’ve learned to overcome him just like RC can be overcame. It may be cheap, but if it’s open to anybody then It’s just good. NOTHING is cheap in CvS2. Annoying maybe, but I lose alot even while using RC so it’s not like it’s an invincible tactic. And it aint scrubby. If it was easier then it would be scrubby. I dont mean just doing it is hard, because with practice it’s really easy, but it’s knowing when and what to RC at that moment that makes it hard.

CvS2 is so much fun when you can play it on an advanced level. I’m trying to bulk up so that I can do decent at next year’s Evo and I’m afraid up there you NEED it. I know I wont do very good, but hopefully I’ll get better with a year of nonstop practice.

Actually, it is an invincible tactic.
Thats what makes it cheap.

It gives moves invincibility that SHOULDNT have invincibility.
I used to not complain about RC being cheap, because lvl3 invincibility out lasts (or so I thought) RC’s.
Turns out, RC electricity beats some point blank lvl 3’s.

Ok you wanna know combos… RC elec, ACTIVATE CC.

If they happened to block your RC, 60% guard bar and a medium worth of chip.

If you hit and didnt have meter, MP ball, mixup on wakeup.
Maybe RC elec since… well youre right there.

It doesnt matter that RC is hard to do.
And I totally respect skills of players, but RC is just bad.

Chun can do RC legs on wakeup, c.strong super.
GAY.

In a game that is so favorable to turtling, we give people MORE invincibility.

I lost 3 matches at evo, won 0 in tourny.

Dr.B who posted in this thread is one of my loses.
He is a fellow norcal player/chronic smoker.
He is notorious for his S-groove, and pixel loss to Daigo Umehara.
He played S in tourny. (Blanka, Bison, Sagat r2)
Dr.B is just plain better then me.
I played him a bunch in casual and at FFA the day before tourny.
Never beat B, we had some close ones, but I know he is just a better player, I get stopped at the Dr.B plateau.

Another loss came at the hands of Chikyuu.
Who plays N-groove, and is notorious for picking low tiers and stomping ass with them.
KYOSUKE-Raiden-Rolento r2.
My Honda double KO’d Kyosuke, so at least that wasnt as embarassing as it could have been.
He RC’s all day with Raiden.
I got a few hits on his Rolento.

And I lost to some random guy.
I killed his 1st two chars with my 1st two.
Had like a 40% lead and blew it cause I was drunk.

I didnt play my fourth match, cause I was guaranteed out.
And I was had to go fight a guy talking shit.
(I never did, and had to run from the police on a couple occasions)

Chikyuu advanced in winners.
Dr.B advanced in losers. (Lost to Chikyuu)

At evo, EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE, can do c.short, s.jab, s.jab, c.mk, tiger knee with Sagat.

I can barely do c.short s.jab Blanka ball.

But ive been inspired by this evo, just like last evo to play certain characters.
Buktooth played a crazy ass Iori that I wanna try out.
ZuggZugg’s Geese.
Dr.B’s S-groove antics.

And gay ass Hibiki and Vega… cause im a natural turtle…
and these pieces of shit are gods of turtle.
I HATE THESE CHARACTERS. THEY MAKE THE GAME UNFUN.

But not as much as A-Sakura, A-Blanka, and A-Bison.
Which is the most bullshit possible in one team.

Did you see that shit that Daigo did in the 3s tourny on Justin Wong? :eek: I just saw the video today. Daigo is god of 3s!!! How did he do that shit. That must take forever to learn the timing to parry Chun’s super. And how did he know when to jump to connect that sweet combo. And I love how the entire match was riding on the shit that he did. Seeing that shit makes me want to start playing 3s again. I just hope I’ll be able to anytime soon. :frowning: Whimsy is getting it soon, but there really is no point, because the only competition there would be me.

How does Evo work. I’ve never been there. I noticed you said you lossed more than once. Does that mean you have more than one chance in the a tourny. How does the whole tournament run. I would like to play a few matches before I get eliminated and shit.

BTW. Blanka is bullshit!!! But i’ve been able to make him an easy match for me. The only problen is that my friend does this extreamly safe running slide with Blanka. It’s so much BS. He’s also EXTREAMLY good with JD. So keep that in mind. He plays such a cheap blanka on K and the thing is he acually knows how to use the groove too. What should I do.
