Hopefully when they re-open (if they do) they’re gonna have Tekken 5. I dont play much Tekken anymore, but from what I’ve seen it looks pretty badass.

it was bound to happen. cory said if sgl did’t make enough money, they whould have to shut down. this may be temporary but also they may just have a new manager and all new employees.
if they do re-open i hope they fix ALL their games.

cory ran that place into the ground. they banned me, someone who did pay to play alot(20-80 a week) and the ghetto people coule of dollars what were kept sgl alive…

i wonder if u guys remember me i played cvs2 a lot when i lived over there i was the black and flip guy (mike aka mad) picking nothing but rock and ratio three bison then switched to a extra third character either joe, hoau maru or later on for tournies against players like ricky o i used blanka. i remember i was the first to get good at k groove then black heart was second we were the two people that made k groove popular in stockton (i wonder if black heart still plays) i also remember glenn in his causal play with p groove and vega (gotta b blue vega all the time) all well… anyway i should b coming down to visit from san diego (they got pretty good comp and its starting to pick up and maaan clockwork is fun to watch) i hope theres a good place to play some cvs2 or 3s(just started playing it a few days ago) well good games everybody and keep playing… the last thing stockton needs is players bashing there own players
yeah, it is sad that it closed down. I wouldn’t doubt if someone purchased it and reopened it though. It was their own fault by not fixing shit, and a variety of other reasons that it is now pointless to get into.
I hear whimsey in the mall has some battling going on…not to mention our own Zekemek is moving into a new place, which we are turning into a street fighter (and boozing) utopia…and word on the street is some of the old crew from around the valley, and the bay, will be getting some invites to some battlin.
The stockton street fighter Scene will never die…it just moved underground…which is probably for the best.

I was told that they were closing down for good. They can get a big chunk of money for that property so they’d be dumb to re-open it. Golfland was -$125,000 last year and it wasn’t getting better.
