god damn all u foolz are new school players… dont even remember m.a… fuckin D… if u aint asian who da fuck are u stereo type… i schooled everybody in cvs2 from when it came out at stockton to when i left… big props to hung and his new switch to gay groove… should of stayed og and stayed with c groove… but all well… u gotta win no matter what i guess… i also schooled the time attacks in initial d from the begining to the end and won the first ID tourny with my rx7 fc against svgl players and there fd’s in version one then left after that… but all well… i didnt recieve any respect during those days cause i wasnt all asain… who cares…BLACK FUKEN POWA BITCHES…
and oh yeah i was the guy who got owned in that cvs2 tourny when ricky came… it was my first tourny and i beat all the svgl players except ricky two times over… 53 or so wins in a row before the tourny… i had the tourny in the bag until they let ricky in like 30 minutes after the tourny started… when they said they would take no late entree’s… we call that the “red carpet pass”… all i was worried about was ricky since hes the only person i didnt play and i already beat everybody in the arcade two times over… long story short i let his reputation beat me than his skill… my k groove skills was up to par to compete against him but my tourny experience sucked… i just started thinking about the money and it fucked me up to hell… back in the day i had skills i dont have right now like the secret technique to jd all day and never ever get thrown (theres actually a way to do that) and i could throw EVERY single roll u do also… blah blah blah… thats my story… im out…

i dont know if anyone of you remembers Brad and Rook… 2 chinese dudes that used to play at GL and Grapevine Comics a lot! Those 2 guys were old school’s best 2D fighting game players that ive played with back in the days… anyways… mad drifter i remembered you back in the days… it’s funny though… no one played cvs2 back then… the only people i saw playin was… you, blackheart, brad and rook… everyone was mvc2 crazed… anyways back to the subject… i remembered them days when xvsf was the shitz!!! everyone played that in Grapevine Comics! No one played SFA2… which sucked… cuz i was was top tier in that game hahaha then i just stopped gamin for hella long… anyways fuck all that im not in cali anymore! looks like stockton’s fighting game scene is gonna die pretty soon…

None of you guys are old school. None of you were around at OZ, Tilt, Supercade, Nicks, Pacific Bowl, West Lane Bowl, El Dorado Bowl, and GL back in the day. All those places died out years ago, now all there is suck ass Whimsy. And back in those days the comp was better as were the games.

I remember tilt, which is now whimseys…I think…IIRC it used to be at the oposite side of the mall. And supercade, which is now a sorry ass radio shack. Golfland used to be the shit back in the day. Nicks was always garbage.
Youre right, Tilt used to be where Whimsys is at now. It wasnt much bigger though. Nicks was good back in the day cause they had Samurai Shodown 2 on the big screen for a quarter, a lot of kof/snk games, SF3:TS on the big screen, Alpha 3. The problem was by the time Alpha 3 & TS came out nobody really played anymore. Brad & Matt were regulars there back in the days of SS2, good times.

5 years ago - Got into the SGL arcade seen but mainly for DDR
4 years ago - Got a PS2 with CvS2, played it alot along with DDR
3 years ago - Started to play fighting games at SGL inbetween DDR (needless to say, i sucked and didn’t understand most of the mechanics)
2 years ago - Began to go to Whimsey from time to time 'cause things were dying down at SGL
1.5 years ago - SGL goes down; began to go to Whimsey for CvS2 and Gamecrazy for console 3S (entered their first tourney and got 4th with Hugo)
1 year ago - Fully adopted Zangief/Cammy team, got 3rd place at another Gamecrazy tournament with either Oro(S rank)/Hugo/Dudley; quit DDR and focused on fighting games seriously
9 months ago - Gamecrazy management change screwin’ up the third strike scene; began goin’ to CL
5 months ago - Picked up Chang instead of Morrigan to complete my CvS2 team of K-Zangief/Chang/Cammy2
2 months ago - Picked up MvC2 seriously with Ducvaders team but switched to Megaman/Tron/Storm for better/more random keepaway.
