Any chance someone plans on hosting a session some time this week before this weekend? I know about Tuesday, but I’m working Tuesday. It’d have to be Wed or beyond.
sorry to break my promise. only gonna post about the tourney.
VERY good shit to hector and to our very own scamp the champ. this being hector’s first out of state tourney, he did well. 7th. i know he could have placed higher but his execution was a tad under the weather and further into the tourney he went, the more and more jittery he got. all good tho. just needs more non-local tourney experience and he will be grand to rep stl in future tournies.
on to scamp the champ. this guy played soooo smart. he learned his mistake from teams and dominated singles (undefeated btw). im sure some are wonderin, what was the 1 mistake scamp made. during teams, last round, scamp landed super on kevin and had a very big life lead. scamp gives himself space to throw out limbs/fireballs except he didnt throw out limbs. he just spammed fireballs like…a scrub. kevin does dash in ultra. from here, it just seemed like scamp just didnt believe what just happened and lost from shock.
singles, scamp played and beat every top KC player. chachi, lyquid, axiom, and kevin. what about kong? sorry, scamp didnt get to play kong in the tourney at all. DONT WORRY! a money match went down. as we all know, we had many MM lined up at the last AR. kong couldnt make it so we held it after singles. i gave scamp a few pointers before the match (maybe i shouldnt have to have made it a fair match but oh well. gotta help my crew). long story short…5-2 scamp. so scamp beat every top KC player.
scamp and hector - you guys owe me big. if i hadnt of checked the bracket before singles started, you guys would have been in the same bracket fighting each other in the 2nd round of the tourney(technically 3rd since both had byes). kinda disappointed at the place we had our food hook up. korean resturant closing at 9:30 on a weekend…LAME! im glad my tip to scamp against rufus worked. next time, no more coaching, lol. all in all, great weekend. was such a nice day to just sit outside and chill.

scamp - "the J vs K money match was such a let down. it wasnt as hype as i hoped. only like 3 matches were hype. now if we take the ratio of the matches that were hype and divide that by the number of total matches, the hype to fight ratio was not good.

scamp - im so glad i got to fight kevin again. the match during teams shouldnt have gone down the way it did.
