If you guys allow me, maybe I got it wrong from Nerrage, but are the shipping costs included in the prize? That doesn’t sound fair to the project. I mean, if the sticks are located in the US I understand if you guys believe reasonable to ship them for free locally, although the winner will be getting an awesome stick for a fraction of it’s cost, so he/she spending some on shipping would be, lets say, polite.
Since participants from around the world are allowed, they should be warned of the mandatory shipping costs + customs fees involved which the winner is to be accounted for in case they win at the time they buy their tickets. The winner should have a deadline for paying for the shipping otherwise a new winner should be picked. I know it’s very unlikely to happen, but it’d be better to make it clear and public, just in case.
Mostly been on the Flash thread. The DC-DC converter Toodles sent me wasn’t able to crank out enough juice to keep the Spark happy. I ordered up a new one that should be able to do it. On USB, though? Stick is working.
I was about to say the same thing. I’m biting my nails to see it finished. Haha! Good luck to all you and I hope this thing totally blows up all over the place. LOTS of effort put into this and I think it’s totally awesome to see people helping people. It gets ya’ “here” and right “here”. I’m hoping to buy a lot of tickets!
I’m glad to see our project getting out there. Can’t wait to see what you guys have come up with. I will definitely be buying a ticket for this beauty!!!
I have to say, I’m amused by the possibility of having ‘Boxes for Joy’ and ‘Sticks for Joy’ as labels… In addition to the typical options, there is some alternative button geometry that probably makes as much, or even more sense than the hitbox layout, though I’m not sure people would be that interested in something that exotic.
