Stick to MixBox conversion, need Help!

Hi guys,
For my first project, I’d like to convert my Hori RAP V to a Mixbox. I plan to just change the stick to key switches.
As I settled for some cherry switches, I saw on a random video that you have to solder 2 wires per switches?! The thing is the wires connecting my actual stick to the pcb are totally different, and it seems that I can’t replicate the actual wiring to the key switches.
Here’s a photo of my pcb

Do you have any advices/ressources that could help?
Thanks guys!

You’ll need something (conceptually) like this:

Your cherry switches won’t have the same connectors at the harness that I posted, so you’ll have to figure something out from there. But that’s the idea of what you need.

Thanks for your reply!
I’m not very well versed in the electronics so figuring this out by myself wont be easy…
Do you have a brand of switches in mind that sells their own 5pin conversion harness?

OK, so after a bit of research I found this:

It got a 5pin connector and the output seems correct for the cherry mx, I know it’s not a converter by nature but I wonder if it could work.
Any of you guys know if it’s the case?

This method might be illegal for tournament play since you’re not allowed to use opposite directions at once.

I don’t mind, I don’t go to tourneys for now, just locals
Do you think if I wire up my keyboard keys to the socd it will work? It’s made for Hitbox not mixbox, so I wonder if it matters if it’s buttons or keys

It shouldn’t make a difference

That’s nice to hear
For some reasons there’s almost nothing that is related to arcade to mixbox conversion on internet so I reeeeally hope I’m gonna make this work

The Jasen’s Customs SOCD filter board is legal. It uses the standard Neutral style SOCD filtering.
