Step up your 3s game with interviews featuring top players

These podcasts are a treasure. So much interesting insight…Good job!

I was just wondering if you could somehow upload some pages from your urien notebook:woot:

I don’t care if its shorthand, bad handwriting, stuff you scribbled real fast, I need to learn more about urien:lovin:

edit: can someone explain doubletapping to me? Is that just for mashing lightning legs?

I think I brought up the idea to him before but he declined, I don’t quite remember.

Thank you!

If there is demand, maybe I could do that, but I don’t really think it’s that good anyways. It’s just random little notes.

BTW, episode #2 is out now featuring Shogo from Denjin Arcade!

Street Fighter Podcast #2 featuring Shogo.

nice. i’ve been planning to visit Denjin Arcade with my friends. don’t know when exactly but hopefully soon

congrats to shogo for his success, he definitely deserves it. sounds like a real cool guy, too bad i’m on the other side of the country or i woulda definitely got to denjin arcade.

Street Fighter Podcast #3 - Victoly

Enjoy! And please subscribe to the feed in iTunes or whatever else you use to listen to music. You’ll get the new episodes automatically for free as soon as they’re released so you don’t have to keep checking back on gootecks.com or on this thread.

Tears of joy

:sad::sad::sad::sad::sad:

Denjin has been very hype since it opened and if you like 3s and can afford to come down, this is the best 3s comp you will probably see in the country. Not just that, but Shogo is a really cool guy with big ambitions for the community.

thanks a bunch for the podcasts. they’re great and shogo’s was a nice and insightful switch.

the sbo adventure vids are cool too. get to know what some of our top players/representatives look like.

WE ARE NOT WORTHY OF THIS BLESSING FROM THE DUDLEY GOD :pray::pray::pray:

That Denjin arcade shit has got me wanting to fly to Cali. I’m serious.

lol

However, I agree with the spirit in which the above post was made.

Loving these new podcasts, but I do have one problem. With the old podcasts (Dr. Sub Z) and podcast 1-5 I believe, if I was listening to them on my ipod, and I decided to switch to something different, they would save their place. With the recent ones, for some reason it won’t do that so I’ll have to fast-forward anything I’ve already heard. Not sure what is causing this, other than that, keep up the great work!

Are you subscribed through iTunes? If they are going into the podcast section, then they should remember the playback position. If you are just downloading them and then loading them onto your iPod, then that’s why it’s not working. In iTunes, you have to right click and then click Get Info, then go to the Options tab and check the “Remember Playback Position” box. But really, you should just subscribe in iTunes so it’ll show up in the podcast section, remember your playback position and download new episodes automatically when they are released.

Good shit with the podcast Ryan. I didn’t know this thread existed but I’ve listened to almost all of them. I don’t really play 3s competitively as you know, but they are still very helpful to the games I play (marvel & tekken basically)

I think I did especially well in my first tekken 6 tournament (only my 2nd tekken tournament ever) about a month ago after listening to Pyro and 5star’s podcast.
I set a personal goal of taking out a certain top player in the tournament who I knew I could beat. Realistically I wasn’t going to win the tournament, but I told myself I’m going to do whatever it takes to knock this guy out. To my luck as if it was fate, I met him in the losers bracket after winning my first round, getting sent to losers, then winning the next match.

This dude was making it look easy pretty much going through everybody. I raped him first match in losers and made him look like a scrub, he switched characters and I barely lost the next ( went to the last round), and last match again he squeaked by. I didn’t accomplish my goal, but I was very satisfied with the way I played (No fear as 5star would say, and super aggressive). His knowledge helped him beat me and would eventually get him 2nd place, but I think I gained a lot of respect afterwards.

I realize now if I want to be competitive, and this is something that is important with the game of life too that I never realized,
It’s very important to SET GOALS. Settings Goals is probably more important than actually reaching them.

Good shit with the podcast and thanks for your support for this community.

Thanks! Good to know that it helps players of other games, not just 3s. Glad you did well in the tourney. I think you’re right about setting goals. I set goals in other areas of my life, but generally not street fighter, but I think I need to start.

yo id like to take a look at some of your urien notes, youd be suprised the weird little shit i figure out over time and it ends up helping my match ups in the long run.

it would be cool to see what you have come up with

While not quite on the level of hardcore beastiality, it certainly is up there. Oh wait, that was the “other” podcast. Never the less, all the new ones kick ass, so keep up the stellar work.

out of all the (pro players) podcasts… seems like only justin wong had a USA pride… “fuck japan USA is better” attitude… almost everyone else was plain and simply puttin US players down and downtalkin… almost like they were japanese themselves lol
