Hey guys, I’m in Japan right now! It’s amazing! So happy that I am lucky enough to be able to come! Thank you again to everyone who donated!
Just put out the Ken I podcast right now. I recorded with Kofiend a few weeks ago but we got interrupted and haven’t had a chance to pick up where we left off. Either we will finish it soon or I’ll put it out as is.
High fives to Harmonaz, Zak, Ryan Hart and Pedram for being cool dudes and chillin’ with us Americans this weekend. Their podcast will be out soon.
As for Twitter, right now it’s unfeasible because the cell phones we rented don’t include txt msging and even if they did they’d be 100 yen per msg which is about a dollar. So yeah…that sucks. But I am taking little videos and pics here and there so you guys can see what Japan is really like for an American SBO player.

There are couple of new videos on the blog now - the last set of the west coast SBO qualifiers grand final and also an awesome video from gootecks and the gang chilling in japan, looking for food and going into arcades ect… Check it out.
I mostly play GG, and dabble a little in 3rd Strike, but a lot of the topics talked about in these interviews are pretty general for fighting games, and gave me good insight…

To be honest, I really haven’t had a chance to talk to any of the top players because I don’t speak Japanese and feel like a dumbass trying to talk with them in english lol. But there was one dude named Genki who I might be able to ask. But yesterday Kuroda did get peaced out by Mastuken or Ogawa or someone. He OCV’d Boss, Kuroda, Ino and two other dudes who I forgot.
Thanks! That’s what I’m trying to do so you guys get a feel for what it’s like over here, even though I’m positive our experience is vastly different from a regular tourist’s. So yeah I’ve been trying to shoot as many vids like that as possible since I don’t think any other SBO attendees have shot this type of thing before. Hopefully you guys get a taste of what it’s like and hopefully I’m not offending any Japanese people by walking around like a damn tourist lol.

Just curious, and I know this is looking ahead a bit, what are the plans for the podcasts beyond kofiend, Vic and Fatbear? I know there are only a finite number of players you can have a podcast with, realistically, but I’d love to see this series run. It makes my journey to and from work pass a lot quicker!
When you said Ogawa I thought you meant the guilty gear player, but I think 5-Star said it was Togawa, the CvS2 player. Whatever, I was just trying to clear that up.
Anyways, good work! It’s cool about talking to them top players who don’t speak english - dude, I’d be the same way. Those pictures you’ve got of the food is out-of-control man ; it looks so fucking good! Good luck at the tournament!
