If it hasn’t been said, then it needs to be: Thor’s theme is AMAZING. Probably the best character theme I’ve heard for any character in any game. I get chills every time I watch the Thor video because of that goddamned music.
I’m going to be maining Thor just so I can hear that music every match, I swear.
I like that they’re using the themes again, but personally the techno mixes can be a bit much at times. Some more subtlety would be welcome. And I don’t suppose they could make it that you could choose from the old versions (the way games are now with DLC, and the way consoles are, you sort of feel like these options are viable)…
If Wesker is in they should use his Umbrella Chronicles theme.

Captain America should be mandatory on every team. To got without his theme should be considered treason. From what I heard, it sounds cool. I don’t know if it’s better than the past interations though. Dr. Doom’s theme sounds tight, also.

whoa! Never played UC b4 but that was a great theme for him! Slight tweaking to the pace would work wonders for him in MvC3

I listened to both…from a guy who got 3 of his requests off CU in the past 3 months. I kinda know what works and what doesnt.
Honesty. The 1st theme fits Wesker like a glove but is a tad slow paced for the game.
The latter suggestion from RE4 is fast paced but it doesnt fit Wesker himself well
If I had to choose Id say…The slower one. We can work with that one!
BUT if I had my choice I would choose this one!

Has anyone figured out what Trish’s theme in MvC3 correlates to? I’m trying to find the damned song it’s based off of but I’ve been out of luck so far.
I was really disappointed upon hearing Captain America’s theme. But then again I’m saddened upon hearing the general techno approach of the soundtrack. Much how Vanilla SFIV was disappointing with it’s style (Super fixed that with Adon/Guy/Hakan/Vega/Cody).
I just expected a bit of orchestra and woodwinds that gave a glorious feeling to Captain America’s theme. I mean there are Virtual Instruments that can provide with almost authentic horns, trumpets, trombones and whatnot. For all I care they could’ve modified the synth to sound more brass-ish like Guile’s SFIIX theme. So yeah… I’m disappointed.
Still I’m glad to hear War Machine’s theme though I can understand why people want IM’s actual theme.
Here’s for a remix of Hulk’s MvC1 theme and Wolverine’s MvC1/MSHvsSF theme.
Not terribly fond of the Joe the Hero remix used for Viewtiful Joe’s theme in this game. It loses so much of the original feel with all the extra synth and whatnot.
Though i don’t usually promote having a rock theme were it is unnecessary ( unless its guilty gear) but i find Dormammu’s works, it makes him seem more epic then he already is, and since they have a divergence of theme types, it stands out. Kind of like how Jechts stood out in dissidia
