Couldn’t get a hold of Andy so I’ll post here. I’ll be busy most of next week, but I’d like to still do SF4 at the hub, NEC who knows. As far as hosting, I’m trying to learn Andy the ropes; you can record with your flip, and keep well stocked with sticks, arcade boards, and red american cokes. I have supplies you can pick up. You also need to have bedding available in case Keith passes out.
lol – yo carmen, you forget how many years I hosted the old crew. Long before you were at PSU my friend.
Here’s the deal – I can host, but I will out for a good stretch in Japan and then we have finals time etc. We can do next Wed at my place, but I’ll talk to Scott about maybe using his place since it is a better location and he has the cab. Will post more later.
I can vouch for that as I’m one of the few that have been around long enough to play in all three of his houses. He was hosting when you were still in diapers
SF4 at the hub tomorrow at 9pm. Andy, I need borrow a memory card for chars, and the mario royal rumble should happen sooner rather than later, this weekend?
“In both the film and the novel, the woman on Andy’s pin-up poster at the time of his final confrontation with the warden is Racquel Welch, a popular sex symbol in the 1960s. Since the film depicts Andy’s escape happening shortly thereafter, that is still the poster at the time of the escape. Since the novella has Andy’s escape occurring 12 years later, the poster in the story had been updated to Linda Ronstadt, who had achieved her own sex symbol status by the 1970s.”
Oh yeah, I forgot… Racquel Welch was on the poster when he confronted the guy, Linda Ronstadt was on the poster when he started chiseling, and Rita Hayworth was in a magazine that some random dude was using to jack off to in the corner AFTER the escape. And that’s why the novel is called “Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption”
