Hey guys, how’s it going? I live in State College and was hoping to get involved in the scene a little bit. I actually came out to a hosting about a year ago with Josh, it wasn’t too long after MvC3 launched. It’s been a long time since I’ve focused most of my gaming attention on fighters, but I’ve been spending some time with AE lately and I’m really excited for SFxT. Let me know what’s up, it would be fun to play some games in person. Yes, I’ve lived out here long enough to remember Playland. R.I.P.

Hey dood, I remember you and def get in on the fun – we will have SF X T on launch and we playing soul cal as well as the other standards. Of course there’s always the old school stuff like dr mario and other non-fighters we like to run – basically whatever you want to play, we can run within reason… just keep an eye on the hosting schedule on here…
Brandon et al. – I asked Ash to do this but I know that ash is spazzy like me, so anyway, I want a large shirt in a non-gay color so someone get it for me and I can pay back (unless it really lame in which case I want 2 j/k). Werd.

Well now that carmen is not coming, the plans have changed. Tonight is off, and we’ll shoot for tomorrow, maybe movie maybe games that depends on andy.

Yeah, I went with him. He got 7th in Melty Blood.
We should be called team free in touney, not free in casuals. Team marvel was single elimination and we lost in the first round. It was on the stream though so you can look at it yourself. It’s at 1:17:00 http://www.twitch.tv/teamsp00ky/b/308980473
We destroyed that team later that night in casuals. McTease OCV’d them the first time and we beat them 2 out of 3. For myself, I had to play the Xaqshinor in the first round, which has happened every major(even in Marvel teams at NEC) and he beat me. He finished in the top 16. Then I got out normal’d by a good Taskmaster player. Almost forgot to mention that I almost got dq’d even though I was standing right in front of the dude running the bracket. Omgitzandre was running the pool and he was calling out for Brandon Hall. He dq’d Brandon Hall, then I asked him did he mean Hamilton. He looked at the bracket and saw that he wrote the wrong name down on the losers bracket. So he had to put me back into the bracket.
At this point, I think I’m just going to be a casuals monster at Big E events since there was a lot of confusion in general. He changed the format for the Marvel teams 3 different times until Spooky got pissed and told him to do what he originally planned. Setups were’t being used for hours after both AE2012 and Marvel teams had reached top 8. They need hard cut off times for when you can sign up for a game so they can have pools set up a few hours in advanced and have them posted early. You shouldn’t be running the 2 biggest games at the same time. Stuff like that is why west coast players come over to the east coast and complain about how the tournament is ran.
Oh and we were in the blue room for hours.

I agree with Brandon, it’s hard to perform well at tournaments that crazy. Between the playstation frame drops, stick issues, tournament jitters, and trying not to get Dq’d from the mass hysteria, you’re to frazzled for your match. I had a lot of fun meeting and playing new people, though. Casuals is definitely where it’s at as far as tournament experience goes. The stream and recordings didn’t turn out too well. Not sure if it was the settings or what not, but I should set that up before drinking so much next time… O btw, I eliminated the same guy you did at NEC. He looked mad salty…
