I’m thinking of starting up a meet up at my place where people can just come over and play AE or Marvel. Baically training, I want to be a place where people can come and be competitive and strive to improve. There used to be a small scene here back when the mall’s arcade was FunFactory.
They had legit AE cabinets that were updated and everything. That machine was almost the center piece in the arcade, it was right in the middle where everyone can watch you play. Every so often there would actually be people playing and you got to enjoy some competitive play. Now that they switched arcades, while they do have AE it’s not updated, and the cabinet was changed. Now you have the bat top and shitty straight buttons. The machine is also placed in a dark corner of the room. and you’ll be lucky if you find someone even looking at the machine. So for those of you that want to play AE or Marvel, get better, and try to go to tournaments, look no further. I want to make this into something that I do often, so that this becomes a regular thing, and maybe we can like carpool to tourneys, or hold mini ones for ourselves. I want this to be something fun that will give us experience along the way.
We would be playing on a PS3. I have an okay sized TV I think it’s 40 something inches, I think it lags a bit though, I could never really tell, sometimes it feels like there is, and other times it doesnt. I have AE, UMVC3, MVC 2, BlazBlue,CS, KoF 13. We can play anything but we would primarily be playing AE and UMVC3.
So basically I just want to know how many people would be interested in this? I’d like to know if people would actually be down for something like this before I start making dates and posting other information like that. But I would like to hopefully start something around January, just so all the hustle of the holidays is over.
