Okay, everyone was there tonight, but there were no weeklies. Well, except for Marvel. So are there going to be weeklies or not? Maybe we should just move them to Wednesday and let Ranma do it. He seems reliable in running these things.
They just need to be run better. I know things can improve. I’ll take over doing Marvel when I’m there, which will free up Ashley and Lay to put more focus on running the other tourneys. After all, the two weeks before this, everything ran fine.
I also don’t think people should be forced to sign up for every game. All this resulted in was a bunch of people forfeiting their matches, which just wasted time and screwed up the brackets. It also wastes the tournament runners’ time, having to spend time hunting the person down only to have him forfeit. The intentions of making everyone sign up for every game are noble, but it just didn’t really seem to work out.
I agree. Play what you want to play. Anyways, if you just don’t play a game, being thrown into a tournament with people who actually do is a bit unreasonable. It not only makes the tournament boring by having a bunch of one-sided matches, but it can be annoying for people who actually do play and are looking to get some good games. If they want to play, then cool. But no one should be forced to play something they don’t want to.
If you would have bothered to help in any way u woulda known that nobody was forced to play. everyone was asked if they wanted to play. And the only reason i did that was to get people to play new games. although not many wanted to play games a few actually played some games they never have before which imo is a good step foward. since nobody wanted to run these things anymore i volunteered to do them all even though i have never done them. Maybe instead of everyone bitching and complaining about them you should help out. Oh wait lay and u and a few others have tried but always quit. If u guys just wanna complain and not even help out then don’t bother showing up at all cause im under stress in my personal life and i still cared enough about the tourneys to show up and run them all alone and everyones bitching didn’t help me out any so next time don’t bother showing up or if u do don’t say anything unless u helped out somehow. I don’t wanna sound mean but people don’t want tournaments no more or want someone else to do them then by all means ask whoever u want to do them or if u don’t want them then i won’t bother doing them anymore. I don’t care really if all you people wanna do is bitch about them.
I’m going to try to come out again in about 2 weeks for weeklies again.
Guys need to lay off Ashley a bit. Seriously. Anyways, this is not a knock on how the weeklys are being run currently, but I’m noticing how GGXX has been having trouble being run, so how would everybody feel if I ran some of the tournaments on Wednesday? Like GGXX #r, maybe 3S, or maybe some team tournaments.
I wasn’t directing my comments at Ashley. I was just stating an opinion that I didn’t think everyone should have to play everything. Nothing personal; no big deal. I would help, but I’m not there consistent enough to be reliable in that regard. I hope you do get help, or that it is somehow managed in a manner that is less stressful for you.
Weekly tomorrow night everyone show up. Marvel will be done by brad and all other tournaments will be done by me. Last week i had to leave early and i guess nobody wanted to finish running them so this week i’ll be there all night and run all of them besides marvel. If vrad doesn’t show then i’ll do marvel but only with the helpof the marvel players cuz you all know the seedings and all.
I plan to be there on Tuesday. Everyone, come on out! Things should be much more smooth this week! :tup: Plus, we can all watch the Red Sox trounce the Yankees together

I think yesterday was one of the best weeklies we had in a while. Everything ran smooth and all tourneys ended before 11. Thnx to everyone who came out and helped support the weekly scene. Weeklies are back and here to stay so everyone start showing up to help bring up our level of play. We keep up these weeklies and we’ll have ppl like crow and myself up there with choi and ricky come showdown and ppl like vinny brad and joe will be giving justin a run for his money.
