Hey everyone i was thinking about this and have talked to a few about it. I was thinking about next weeks weekly instead of a regular weekly that we have a random team tournament where all players get random teammates and no top player in any game will b be teamed up together. So that means no vinny joe ivan mvc2 teams and no rudy crow david teams. I think this makes everything about as even as u can get and allows more ppl to get better by learnign from their teamates. Just a though let me know what u guys think. Oh by the way everyone who would like to have some japanese players for TS5 post up so we can know if ya’ll even want them to come and if not so we won’t charge an entrance fee anymore. also dvds will b given out but the tournament u win must have 16+ players so come next week and hopefully enough ppl like the team tournament idea so if 16+ enter any tournament then that team gets the prize so more people have a better chance at winning some dvds. anyone else can think of what would b good prizes let me know.

I would really like to come to weeklys, but Im not able to cause of work and school. Tuesdays is just a bad day for me. Would it be possible to consider changing weeklys to saturday?

Its hard to organize weeklys on the weekend because there are already alot of “casual” players who pay time and play. It would be unfair to hog the machines when there are a number of players who don’t want to participate in the tournaments. We hold it during the week because we are free to hog up the machines as much as possible. Unfortunately, that means you’d have to get a night off if you wish to attend a weekly.
Yea, I was afraid of that. Im gona see if I can do something about my class schedule, so I can have Tuesday nights off. It will be nice to participate in weeklys again.
i’m visiting a friend in houston from oct 9th through the 14th… what time does the weeklies start? so i could possibly make a tournament if held on 10/12…10 $ entry fee or something?
Try to make it to Stargate around 7:30 or so. The entry fee for the tourney is only 50 cent, but you’ll need to buy a $7 pass. With that pass, you can play as many games as you want for the entire night (the games are on free play). You can buy a $3 pass, but that’ll only last you for two hours. The more people that show up, the better. Hope to see you there.

Yes we are having a weekly this tuesday so everyone show up. If u can read this then make sure u show up before 7:30 because imma start signing up at 6:30 and should start all tourneys by 8. If ur not gonna be there on time call someone to sign u up. also w might have some out of town action tomorrow so ppl show up to show how we do it here in h-town. Im expecting a good turnout and i think we can get at least 20 players to show up.
p.s. everyone will be signed up for all games to encourage diversity in the games we play. we need more people learning new games well more like old games that they haven’t learned how to play so we can get better and more diverce comp. ggxx #reload will only be included if sticks are available if not then ya’ll can rent or borrow ps2 pads.
