I won’t know if it is better or worse for me until everything is finalized with this.
As for my experience with pay per day, I have done those with Mountasia a couple of times, when they do their $10 unlimited games all day Tuesday deal. The problem of course was that most of the games were taken up, and the place was busy. So I didn’t actually get to play as much as I wanted.
I might be more tempted to come out and play at sg again, and do a monthly or yearly membership.

Man, everyone is gonna want those ST boards. You should auction that out, I bet you’d make a lot. but I know you have two, so you should keep one in the arcade, still.
why not keep the other room for arcades where you have to pump quaters. Keep one MvC2, CvS2, GGXX in that other room for people who cant afford it the pass and want to play like $5 worth of games. Oh and dont forget the other games that are not good on console. i dont know which one’s they are but ya’ll know.

I think it’s a good idea Cmutt. I’m looking forward to the change. Now people can’t bitch about the differences between console & arcade, because everybody plays the console version.
I’m curious how SG will look like, with tv’s and consoles all over the place.
I don’t think waiting for your turn will be a big problem. Most people down at SG have decency and we all know each other, so it’s all good.

i personally would like to see the snk cabs still be there. they have games that don’t even exist on console. plus they are still fun to play

My main question is how you intend on doing games that don’t have what are considered “arcade perfect” translations such as 3S and ST. If you are completely switching to console/TV, would Superguns be a possibility to keep the 3S/ST players happy?
SNK games are a problem, as well–from what I understand, most of the KOF console ports are awful. As a new fan of KOF2K3, I don’t want to see this game go, either.
This idea sounds so cool that it just might work out! The membership idea sounds really good. We save money and get more games in, I like that 
AND I know exactly what you mean when you were implying about the “I only have 5 dollars for tonight, gotta make it last!” Sure maybe, the new changes sounds shocking to some, but maybe its for the best. Plus its always good to see a change. I’m totally down for this!
One more thing (and sorry if I missed it somewhere reading this thread) How much will monthly memberships be??

is there any sort of way to implant a ps2/xbox/gc into an existing cabinet replacing the board so that we can still use cabinets and cabinet joysticks but have ready access to the game to remove?
i think that would be 31337
and im sure many of the stargate faithful would help in undertaking such a massive project as to mod all of the existing cabinets?
because i tell ya tekken just aint the same without some weight under your joystick =[
That sounds like a neat idea, but it limits the potential of what switching to console can do. If you try to stick with a cabinet type setup, games like Halo, Madden, or any other non-fighting game could be somewhat awkward to play. I think part of the idea of the switch to console was to try and expand outside of the fighting game arena into really anything people could want to play.
Hey, Chris, I’m just wondering about when and how the membership thing will start. You said only one room is going to be set up as console initially. Does that mean that the console room is membership and the other room is still quarters, or as soon as you have the one room set up will both rooms become membership? How is that going to work, and roughly when do you think it will begin?
As another suggestion, you should definitely get Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow goin on the xboxes along with the Halo goodness. I wanna play Stiggz on Halo to see if he really knows how to play… :evil:
