I’ve been trying all day to buy SC2 on Blizzard’s store with no luck. I don’t live in the US so I was wondering if I got a friend to buy it (retail box copy) and give me the key would I be able to authenticate on Blizzard’s site and then download it from there ?

umm its in the starcraft story, Xel’Naga were destroyed by the Zerg, its even in the booklet in the 1st starcraft talks about it. Unless of course blizzard changes there mind and brings them back.
sweet…starcraft 2 is freezing at the loading screen for me now, and i’ve tried everything to get it working drivers and windows updates…nothing.

It’s been a long time since I played Starcraft and I wasn’t very good at it. How’s the single player at getting you used to the system, hotkeys, etc? I’m really tempted to buy it since I ran across some copies.
The single player does an okay job, but it only represents Terran and even lets you use units that you can’t use in the multiplayer.
These two SC2 threads should be merged…
is zerg still ass? i loved that argument in SC1 about how incredible balanced it was. nah zerg was definitely pretty bad unless you went late game and even then you can be starved by a terran whos willing to put in that effort.

so far the game works fine for me, im using a macbook pro, and no lag or any problems so far. Ive been winning with zerg a lot, roaches-Mutas-Hyrdas, then ultras seem to work the best for me. Brood lords seem ok, just take way to damn long

I thought they were only really any good very early game, usually if you couldn’t zerg rush within 1:06 or whatever it was (changes through patches etc.) you would be at a huge disadvantage. Usually the good zerg players would go muta after that, but if that failed too they’d just die for free.
From the korean vids and results I watched towards the very end it seemed like Protoss was the best, and Terran could kinda sorta compete but not really. I remember towards the beginning and middle of the game’s life Zerg was solid and for awhile was even the best, but I think most of that was zerg rush and then there was this bug with units that Blizzard took awhile to fix but all the top Zerg players used.
I’m way past the age where I’d care about this though. I wonder how many units this moved in Korea. I assume the ridiculous piracy protections aren’t in the Korean edition. This US version looks like ass however…and I don’t want to pay $150 or whatever it is for a game split into 3.
I can’t deal with Marauders worth a shit when I’m Toss. I also can’t seem to gather as much minerals as I used to in Starcraft. Any pointers?
My little bought this game. I have little to no SC experience. I must say that this game is amazing. I had one of those “10 year old playing a video game moments” last night where I sat down to play SCII for the first time at around 11pm and in the blink of an eye it was almost 2am. That’s when I realized that this game was insanely good.
I’ll probably get on his account to try out online mode. I’ll get scraped. I know it.
Finally beat the campaign on brutal difficulty. I can’t wait to see where they bring the story. Now it’s time to brush up on my multi-player skills.
never played an rts but im liking it. seems a bit overwhelming but fun.
