God damn you can bait people so well with force field as Protoss. Especially during initial rushes.
This is how it goes, let’s say you tech and your opponent decides to attack you at your main within the first few minutes. Assuming you have some units of your own, you bait the enemy to go up your ramp and you force field his army in two. You kill the one in your base and by then his remaining army will run away leaving you to tech in peace.
Top 10 platinum btw, get sum!
Oh yeah and scouting… God scouting is important, especially as Toss seeing as observers are invisible, you drop em all over the map. I constantly have like 6 observers out. They will let you see where your enemy is coming from, his forces, if the enemy is trying to expand, if he’s trying to cheese, etc. I dont know how many times I’ve got the drop on burrowed roaches thanks to observers.
First one includes the Terran campaign and Battle.net/multiplayer access. The other two will likely include the Zerg and Protoss campaigns and Battle.net. Not sure if they’ll be expansions or also work as stand alone. You can just buy one and be done if you only want Battle.net
You dont really need insane APM to warp in units, but it would help in the mist of battle.
To answer your question, start by selecting all our gateways (either highlight them all or doubleclick one of them and it should autoselect all the gateways within distance). Then hotkey the grouped gateways to a number you feel comfortable with. Now you dont have to select each gate 1 by 1 to warp in units. Say someone attacks your expo, hit the hotkeyed gateways and (if you have 5 gates and you want to make sentry) hit “E” 5 times while placing your units each time. Alot faster and useful.
Okay, thanks guys. I was so excited to play (I haven’t slept yet) since I finally finished d/ling and then updating lastnight, I never bothered to look to see if Blizzard had any online instructions per race or whatever.
W…I’ll remember that. I knew that there’d be Shift/Tab in there somewhere too. Appreciated. Too bad you can’t warp-in Colossi. kekekeke
I think I’ve played almost 20 games total, and am about half n’ half. I cheesed a couple (building my Gateways right in their base), but that only worked so long. D’oh. I also managed to fend off some cheese of someone else’s (phew). I jumped out in Silver League but was quickly turned to Bronze after straight losses. I’m already sick to fucking death of this mother-effing annoying Void Ray harass. The range is what gets me. I try hard to counter with Sentries/Stalkers, but damn.
One more extra thing that my friend showed me. Pressing F12 (Help) during the game will show you tech tress, units, and the strength and weakness of each unit. So the next time you see your opponent massing 1 type of unit, you at least can figure out what unit is suppose to counter it.
Why on Earth are the location hotkeys f5-f8? and is there a way to share replays on bnet? Without having to send the replays outside of bnet. It not, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY???
Can’t share without uploading them to some website. Why? Fuck if I know. Hopefully the retail version will have the ability to be able to host replays as games, allowing multiple people to watch at once. It’d be a shame that Starcraft 1 kept that feature and Starcraft 2 did not.
Yeah I figure once you can host games using your own custom maps, you will be able to host replays as games as well. Can’t wait to play on destination!
The collector’s edition is not overpriced AT all imo.
I just looked at it, it’s pretty nonsense. It says broodlords are only strong against stalkers, which is ironic since stalkers are the ONLY ground unit in the game that have a chance against brood lords by blinking underneath them.
It also says mutalisks are strong against vikings… yeah i don’t think so.
For people whining about no 'Toss in the Terran campaign, you should know that there will be missions where you play as Zeratul and his Protoss pals in that campaign. Besides, how can you hate on Jimmy?
