I wonder…will any of the SC top players automatically get access?
I haven’t heard of any top players accessing the game.
There are some very good players like Nony who are in the beta.
seems to me that all the people playing are very good…
I am very good at sc1 and I see a lot of pro tactics being applied in sc2! I think if people are serious about being a good sc player they went out of their way to make sure they got in the beta, because the quality of players in my platinum league is VERY high.
A lot of people are complaining about Zerg being to weak and slow. Dont know if its true or not, but its only a beta
I have a guaranteed Beta access from Blizzcon 08 and I didn’t even get in the first wave. Stop getting your panties in a bunch haha.
But no matter what, I am sticking with Zerg. They were the most fun in Alpha testing from Blizzcon.

Oh wow, I’m amazed at how much it aesthetically feels like the first game, only prettier/biggier. Looks, sounds, interface, etc.

banelings seem good, why arent more people using lurkers vs toss. They’ve always worked really good vs toss, with some hydras
I can vouch for being one of the incompetent players in the beta at the moment. 
I’m learning though and having quite a bit of fun. I havent played many matches, but so far everything seems fairly decently balanced and well polished. I do think Reapers are probably over powered (can be had real early on, ignores terrain limitations, good against ground units, even better against buildings), but Ill see if my opinion changes as I have some more matches under my belt.
Hows the camera movement in this game? I use my middle mouse button to drag around rather then moving the mouse to the side to move my camera. Is it inverted (W3 style) or regular (Starcraft)

who the hell is telling you that? Everything is pointing to Zerg being almost too good in the beta thus far because inject larva is too good; you can outproduce people by a lot off one base for a while, and that production advantage only increases as you get more hatches/queens.
Plus they get to deny scouting via their queen, which also gives them extra defensive presence against rushes. With less scouting info, it’s hard to know if they are turning all those extra larvae into drones for a huge economy, or if they’re massing up for some kind of big roach/ling attack. Guess wrong, you lose (guess right and you might still lose, lol).
The beta is looking fairly well balanced, though.
Starcraft is a broken game without ramps.
