There won’t be LAN support =( all the good SC matches I’ve had have been on LANs. This actually upsets me. The thing that was so sexy about the OG SC was that the shit not only worked on anything, but could be played over anything, hell I used to play it using a fucking serial cable to connect two computers. Now its Battle.net or bust =/ proll to combat piracy or something.

I don’t care either… It’s been over two years now, and my hype meter goes up and down like a roller coaster; but ultimately my overall enthusiasm has declined. It will come out when it does, but in the mean time, there are pleeeeenty of other great games to play. Great Games!
Everyone knew about this even before they confirm it. Like blizzard would ever release this in 09.
This is not at all surprising, especially with the beta pushed back. Besides, outside of WoW expansion packs one should always add a year or two to anyone’s estimated (it’s always “when it’s done” until they officially announce a shipping day anyhow) Blizzard release date.
Either way it will be well worth the wait and time, been dying for a quality sci fi RTS.
I gave uyp on SC2 about a year ago. After the intial vids of combat and what have you, I said “man that looks good and like its come along way, but since they dont have an actual release date, why shoudl I care it won’t drop until 2010 anyways”
