I remember a couple years back watching some match of our top American SC players vs. some Korean players and they couldn’t even come close. 
I watched all of game 1 and I don’t know what the fuck is going on. Now don’t get me wrong I’ve played Strategy games before. (Age of empires 1 and some of 2)

Whoa, thanks for the links to loads of insane videos. I used to play Starcraft a lot but I was always terrible at it. At best I could play a scrubby Toss and get random Bnet wins, but against anyone with real skill I got crushed. Still, I always enjoy watching VODs. It makes me sad that Bnet doesn’t work in Wine for Linux users.
KlazartSC and Moletrap also do commentary besides Diggity.
Moletrap’s English Fuckentary was the funniest shit ever.

Any tips on how to micro/macro? I kind of want to get back into SC once my internet is fixed up, but I want to know where to start in learning how to micro/macro and how to do it correctly.
Well, first off what race because Zerg macro is a lot different from T and P macro.
Be sure to hotkey buildings, shift + hotkey any important locations like a choke or something, never stop making resource workers (for the most part)
There are a few decent UMS micro maps that do help but others are just hella impractical.
But you really just need to practice and play more.
