So here’s the deal. This tourney had a theme before, and now it’s changed. Instead, we will be celebrating how North Bay repped at Battle of the Bay. The previous bounty money will still be in effect, however instead of having a bounty spotlight, I will just attach it to first place.
What: SSF4 Singles Double Elimination 2/3 rounds, 2/3 matches, 3/5 winners, losers and grand finals
When: Sunday, Oct 3rd. Registration and Casuals at 3pm. Tourney starts at 5pm. Estimated duration of the tourney is 3 and a half hours.
Where: Starbase Arcade. 1545 4th St. San Rafael
Cost to Enter: $12 to enter. $7 to the pot, $4 to the venue and $1 towards first place bonus.
Rules:: You may change characters only upon loss of your first match. You may change ultra win or lose, however, if you won your last match and wish to change ultra you must do so BEFORE your opponent has selected their character.
YOU WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED AND FORFEIT ALL RIGHTS TO THE TOURNAMENT POT W/O REFUND IF YOU THROW YOUR MATCH OR ARE EVEN SUSPECTED OF THROWING YOUR MATCH! This rule will be personally enforced and judged by me. I don’t mind splitting one bit, but if you throw your match and I suspect foul play, I maintain the right to disqualify you wholly based on my subjective opinion on the match. If I see you giving someone money for subway sandwiches and I suspect its for throwing a match it’s within my right to DQ. Of course, I’m not a tyrant, and I hope to never have to make a decision on this matter but now the rule is officially out there.
Setups: 8 setups. All XBox 360. Bring your own controller. 4 setups will be dedicated to tournament play. 4 others will be for casuals/warmups.
