Stating how things were at the time vs now does not take away from how it’s perceived currently. It’s only an observation. Commenting I’m gullible when you can look at many of the reviews and see for yourself. The perception of art changes over time. It happened with this movie. It happened with the prequels. Time will tell if it will happen with the sequel trilogy.

People actually complained about Luke projecting himself across the galaxy? I thought that was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen a Jedi do. And it sealed his namesake as a “Skywalker” into legend.

I didn’t hate the projection but I would have much rather have had luke there. Him. Then performing the same disappearing act that obi wan did would have been better to me. Again that is a nitpick.

On a side note of all this my son asked for some light sabers for his birthday. Was able to score a Kylo Ren and a Rey light-saber from a local Meijers on Clearance. They were also selling a mini Millennium Falcon that makes noises with a Force 2.0 bracelet. Can’t wait too see his face light up when we have light saber battles for cake later on this week.

Just came back from Ad Astra. It’s a pretty good movie of what could happen with space travel as we know it. Nothing really that much science fiction about it. Yes, I shed some tears in the movie. You will too…
Oh and if anyone cares; the 3rd Star Wars IX trailer (read, new trailor) plays in the previews for Ad Astra. I saw it in XD format (which is almost like IMAX).
