That’s probably the strangest power-up set in all of Transformers toy history.
I do wonder if the character is male or female. Guess we’ll find out once cast is released. In either case, the helmet should never be removed.

A good choice…
Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the cinema house
No’one was watching Soylo
Not even a mouse.
AKA: Latest DVD & Blu-Ray sales data indicate it’s utterly pathetic performance for a Star Wars release. As for streaming, i don’t know if Solo’s on netflix or anything but, that cause has long been debunked as a reason for poor home video sales. Streaming availability has a minor effect on DVD/Blu-Ray sales at best.
To be fair, Solo is a decent to good film… the problem is that the hardcore they we’re aiming this one at were all still… we will call it ‘sore’ about various things and the more casual audience was probably still recovering from Infinity War or Deadpool 2 plus Han Solo probably wasn’t as popular with the younger casual Star Wars fan who via extended universe and various media know the franchise more for Force powers.
So…whose got bets that Episode 9 makes a billion in box office sales?
I would call it a sure bet
I’ll raise you. . . . 1.2 billion
Hmm…think it tops at 1.5,
It could flop…
I think most people will see episode 9 out of pure curiosity. Seeing if they can salvage what was left of 8 or see if they can fuck up Star Wars even more than episode 8 did.
Either way Disney is getting paid and that’s all they care about.
If they were dumb again and tried it in Spring or Summer, yeah it could flop. But most likely it is coming out in December and unless there is a surprise Smash hit around the same time that eats up box office then it won’t.
It may not make as much as TFA but it will make money.
Sounds like the WWE these days…
I don’t think it will top TFA. No Star Wars closing chapter has done better than the opener (to date). My biggest concern is the likelihood of it being a repeat of ROTJ.
It is ironic how the WWE both in practice and fictional stories often mirrors real world business practices and sadly the leadership values.
I bet it does great in the box office. Not only will it review well, but fans will like it and pass along that it’s epic and it’ll even put TLJ in better context with resolution. I think it will continue to shake things up a bit, but not in a way that’s offensive to the hardcore, and it’ll tie everything nicely together with some surprises.
Opening weekend will be strong, but it won’t match the numbers of TFA. However, after the first two weeks, it will break records.
Episode 9 will be curbstomped by the Jumanji sequel.
Feels like the core of the fanbase that HATES TLJ is going to end up shooting themselves in the foot on this one. There’s going to be so much weird hype around seeing how it ends that it may end up doing better than expected.
Like a weird variation of the streissand effect.
I’ll wait for someone that I trust that hates TLJ to review Episode 9. If they like it, I’ll see it.
