i think the Solo backlash had more to do with the backlash from TLJ coupled with Di$ney making the massive mistake of giving people too much too soon of SW and folks are just overfed with the ip right now.
cause i dont know how much better the movie couldve been better or improved upon.
out of all 4 movies it admittedly has the most star wars vibe, feel and flavor to it.
Star Wars is in reality gangsta. New Hope is a gangster flick imo. all its characters minus C3PO are pretty gangster.

Hey, I’m not trying to make any excuse- you should know by now that I don’t give a fuck what anyone’s opinion is on the movie. It won’t change mine. I just found it interesting is all.
Same can be said for people who hate the movie and refuse to believe anyone can like it. That was rapid in this thread when the movie was still fresh.
The hate was rabid in this thread anytime TLJ is brought up. The die hard Fandom that hate it bots or not always try to drown out any positivity. A decade from now the salt might not be as all encompassing but right now it is Sodom and Gomorrah with any discussion on about that film or Rian Johnson.
TLJ is odd for me. I thought it as interesting but meh initially. The second viewing is when things started to click for me and not in a good way. I won’t pretend to be some Pulitzer Prize winning author. I’m an amateur writer that does it for fun. That said, the writing in TLJ was just plain bad. I’m not going to rehash things, everyone is cemented in their opinions at this point. My biggest take way from TLJ is that the writing was piss poor.
TLJ is hot garbage. Boring story, pathetic character development, god awful jokes. I was mildly interested to see where things were going after TFA and by the end of TLJ I had no desire to watch another SW movie.
