something I just noticed is that only in the OT the young jedi apprentice doesnât develop rage/anger issues against his former master. In the lol prequels Anakin gets resentful of Obi Wan and turns against him, in this new piece of shit trilogy, Ben is trying to kill Luke out of rage/reasons.
I donât particularly find the logic behind Kylo Renâs actions bad (quite the contrary to be honest) but the portrayal of his character is what annoys me. Is like in order for this generation to âfeel identifiedâ with characters now you have to make them as emo as possible. Meanwhile in the 70s, Vader had a fuckin mask on, you couldnât see his facial expressions and it was just his bad assery combined with Earlâs voice that made you realize how BOSS he was.
Oh thats right, children today are into jingly keys and fidget spinners while i was into Transformers and Super Nintendo. things like âStoryâ and âcharactersâ and âPlotâ would be too much for your tiny ignorant mind to comprehend.
Haha yeah I found myself being surprised at how long the movie kept going.
The only reason I didnât think the movie was going to end sooner than it did was because they hadnât shown the Imperial Walker/hoth ripoff scene yet⌠however, as the movie dragged on, in the back of my head I was beginning to think if they had cut the scene out entirely. Lol
Seriously, man⌠Cutting out Finnâs misadventure and poeâs Mutiny attempt would have freed up a lot more time to explore more important issues⌠or they could have just ended the movie sooner.
Eh, the whole thing was handled poorly. If Luke only briefly thinks of snuffing Kylo in his sleep cause he sees darkness in him (contrived, but okay), why does he turn on his lightsaber? And Kylo instead of being momentarily taken aback why his master would try to end him in his sleep goes from 0-60 in 2 seconds and destroys everything. This leads me to believe there was already a crumbling relationship between the two but I probably have to read that backstory in a Marvel published Star Wars one-shot called âMaster and Apprenticeâ or some shit. We wouldnât want to take precious screen time from the Canto Bight excursion.
The series has established they have force fields that keeps atmosphere (AIR) in and allow solid objects to pass though (like the hanger deck of the death star).
Also I think the bombs are magnetically repelled/propelled, magnets propels the bombs and let inertia do the rest
They still need to kill off people who are so depressed that TLJ didnât happen the way they wanted it to happen. Itâs like those pro wrestling smarks who feel like they can do no wrong when it comes to booking.
The Emperor, who is not called Palpatine in film till Episode 1, doesnât even break 6 minutes of screentime. For the most part he was just spouting âSomething, something, something, Dark Sideâ. He was there to operate as the master that Vader needed to break away from.
So youâre saying itâs perfectly fine for the same franchise to use the exact same beats from the far superior original series with far superior characters in a, at the time, fresh original story
also, Vader turning on the Emperor is the final climax of the entire original series. That was a huge moment. One of the biggest bad guys in movie history, turns on his master at the conclusion of a trilogy after the pleas and love of his son, after having 3 movies of battles.
Whereâs the comparison here with Snoke and the betrayl? Câmon now. You folks that love this movie are setting the bar so fucking low for story telling
